Just ten miles north of Lyme Regis, the 'Pearl of Dorset', situated in gentle Somerset countryside is The Apple Press, a fabulously converted single storey farm building.

The open plan living space is perfect for socialising and spending quality time together. Open up the patio doors and enjoy the peace of the countryside that envelops this property. There is great character throughout, with restored A-frame beams and a pretty brick and flint exterior. Chefs will delight in the modern kitchen that is well-equipped.

You won't have to wander far for your morning coffee in the sunshine, as the main bedroom has French doors leading straight out to the patio. The en suite shower-room is cleverly designed and has a luxurious rainfall shower head. Two further delightful bedrooms share a modern family bathroom.

Whilst The Apple Press is totally separate and private, it is possible to integrate this lovely accommodation with two other properties on site - Wreath Farmhouse (4445) and The Cowshed (4743). If booked together, these properties (all part of Wreath Farm) sleep 18 + 3 cots. The owners live in another barn conversion on site and are on hand if you need them but all of the properties have a good degree of privacy from each other.

Your four-legged friend will delight in the fully enclosed garden and it is a gorgeous spot to sit out and enjoy al fresco dining. Fantastic holiday memories can be made here and you will totally feel as though you've escaped the hustle and bustle of daily life. There is also a walking track around the rear paddock, which is peaceful and secluded. As an added bonus, there is access to an outbuilding where you will find a table-tennis table - perfect for family tournaments! This facility is shared with the other barn conversions on site.

The lane leading to the farmstead is very quiet, with only a few other properties dotted along it and is lovely to stroll along. Another peaceful walk just half a mile away is the Chard Nature Reserve and in the other direction at Cricket St Thomas, there are beautiful lakeside walks around the old manor house, which is now a hotel. You are also on the doorstep of the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which runs along the Devon/Somerset border.

Following the coast to the west, through east Devon from Lyme Regis, you will enjoy a chain of little fishing villages and seaside towns, from Beer and Branscombe to Sidmouth and Budleigh Salterton. Each has its own delightful character and tradition. For more dramatic coastal scenery, head to West Bay and see the infamous golden cliffs.

Within easy reach of Chard are four south Somerset National Trust properties to visit - Montacute, Tintinhull, Lytes Cary and Barrington Court. Forde Abbey is also only a few minutes away over the border in Dorset and offers a beautiful setting on the River Axe and stunning gardens. Many famous walking trails converge around the villages to the south of Wreath, including the Jubilee Trail, Monarch's Way, the Wessex Ridgeway, the Liberty Trail and the South West Coast Path.
