La Cabine Francaise

Had a lovely 3 night stay at the cabin with my partner and dog. Carol and Neil were both extremely welcoming on arrival. The cabin is perfectly set out with everything you’d need and really nicely decorated. There is so much though and effort that has been put in with lots of special little touches. The bedroom was extremely cosy and comfortable with really nice soft bedding. My favourite part of our trip was waking up every morning with a coffee in bed watching the sheep and trees from the bedroom window. The bathroom had lots of luxury toiletries provided and was a nice big space given it is separate from the main hut. We only used the snug hut once as I loved the main one so much but that was also really nice space to relax, watch tv and read. Overall would definitely recommend!...

Beautiful shepherd’s hut and three for the price of one. The huts are perfectly appointed with every detail carefully thought out. The huts were immaculate, perfect for snuggling up in front of the log burners. Lovely peaceful secluded location with a pretty village and great dog fry pub with good food a short walk away. The owners left a thoughtful welcome pack and struck the ideal balance between being friendly, welcoming and available for any questions whilst leaving us to enjoy the peace and solitude with privacy. This is honestly a very special place. I spent Christmas week here by myself and the wreath, twinkly lights and tinsel was all delightful. I had a warm welcome from Carole who had already text me asking if there were any extra bits I would need during my stay. There are three cabins and each is perfect. I loved the lounge hut with the big TV and reclining sofa and spent every evening there, reading or watching TV in front of a roaring log burner. The main hut gave me a super comfy bed, a well-equipped kitchenette and large dining table, and another log burner. The bathroom hut has a great shower with lovely hot water and warm towels. Outside there is a decked area where I sat and watched the stars at night; you can also make a fire in the fire pit and sit there if you prefer. The place is completely silent and there is no light pollution. I’d say an added bonus is the gorgeous flock of black-faced sheep, some of whom have curly horns. I’d love to come back here one day, it was just what I needed. Thank you Carole & Neil & the flock....

We had a lovely stay, very well appointed Shepherds Hut With plenty of room with the extra lounge hut and bathroom. Good organisation with luggage trolley, wood for fires and bbq. Nothing overlooked. We had a very nice Sunday lunch at the Greyhound @ Sydling St Nicholas.. essential to book We would definitely stay at La Cabine Francaise again ...
