We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Fox Cottage, which exceeded our expectations and even the weather was very good considering it was February!! The welcome basket was full of delicious treats that we enjoyed. It was perfectly situated a stone’s throw from the centre of town but was down a lovely quiet lane. We found the people of Beaminster to be very friendly and we enjoyed listening to the church bells, no clock needed as they did a perfect job of letting all know the time!! A comfortable cosy cottage very near the town centre but on a quiet street with a lovely small enclosed garden which is a real suntrap in which to relax. The town square with its good selection of interesting shops is just two minutes walk away and there are several nice cafes and restaurants to enjoy. We found a number of circular country walks nearby which will suit those looking for either a strenuous walk or a gentle stroll. We did not find the church bells and clock chimes at all intrusive. For those wishing to use public transport there are busses from the town square to Yeovil and Bridport, with connections from the latter along the Jurassic Coast in both directions....
