We stayed 6 nights at Fox Cottage and thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the cottage is beautifully furnished and very comfortable, especially the bed. The welcome basket of a Dorset cream tea was lovely. The kitchen is very well equipped. The location is perfect to allow you to walk to the various pubs and restaurants in Beaminster. The small courtyard garden was lovely, listening to bell practice on Wednesday evening with a glass of wine was delightful. When we contacted Rachel, the housekeeper, the reply was very quick and helpful.

We had a great stay at Fox Cottage. The weather was mixed, but the cottage and Beaminster worked whatever the elements gave us. The cottage is fantastically positioned within the village. There are many lunch and dinner choices all of a high standard, some within 200 yards walk, some a 15 minute drive, although the cottage is fully equipped if you want to create your own meals.

PS Yes there are Church bells but we thought they added to the charm of our break in Dorset, and didn't find them intrusive at all.

Lovely comfortable cottage in quiet location. Pubs in walking distance. Lovely walks from the cottage.

Fox Cottage is such a great place to stay. It has everything you need - a very well resourced kitchen with top quality equipment and even if you don’t cook while you stay it is a lovely place to sit and look out on the garden if the weather isn’t obliging or sit in the garden if it is. It’s easy to lose a few hours here! The living room is very comfortable and has lots of useful local information. The bedroom is big with a comfy bed and the bathroom is a real treat. The cottage is in a fabulous location - a stroll to the shops and pubs and the two excellent restaurants. You could easily forget about your car and enjoy everything just on your doorstep. I think I counted six places to have coffee not including the pubs and there is an amazing bookshop around the corner from the cottage. Footpaths go out from the end of the roads near the cottage up onto the Wessex Ridgeway and out to local villages over fields. Mapperton House and gardens is nearby and worth a visit. Parking was never an issue. I found spaces in the lane where the cottage is and just around the corner. It is rare to find a cottage that has it all but I really think Fox Cottage has.

Beautiful cottage with fabulous decor and soft furnishings. Very comfortable ‘home from home’ in delightful village with lots of local amenities. The pretty garden was a bonus (even in late March) so would be very welcome during the summer months. We enjoyed lovely meals at Brassica and the Ollerod and also bought some good quality meat from the local butcher. Wonderful walks direct from cottage as well as visits to Lyme Regis, West Bay and local National Trust properties. We, too, enjoyed the Church Bells and certainly didn’t find them intrusive. Beaminster is a very friendly village too.

A comfortable cosy cottage very near the town centre but on a quiet street with a lovely small enclosed garden which is a real suntrap in which to relax. The town square with its good selection of interesting shops is just two minutes walk away and there are several nice cafes and restaurants to enjoy. We found a number of circular country walks nearby which will suit those looking for either a strenuous walk or a gentle stroll. We did not find the church bells and clock chimes at all intrusive. For those wishing to use public transport there are busses from the town square to Yeovil and Bridport, with connections from the latter along the Jurassic Coast in both directions.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Fox Cottage, which exceeded our expectations and even the weather was very good considering it was February!! The welcome basket was full of delicious treats that we enjoyed. It was perfectly situated a stone’s throw from the centre of town but was down a lovely quiet lane. We found the people of Beaminster to be very friendly and we enjoyed listening to the church bells, no clock needed as they did a perfect job of letting all know the time!! We highly recommend this cottage.

We had an amazing weekend away at Fox Cottage. The cottage is presented to the highest standards of quality and cleanliness. All of the furnishings are comfortable and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for a self-catering stay. The wood burning stove was also very welcomed for January evenings. We will definitely return to Fox Cottage - thank you!

A beautifully furnished cottage, cosy and warm in the winter months ideally positioned for visits around Dorset. Particularly appreciated the high standard of accommodation and all the little extras provided, one of the best equipped places we have stayed in. Very clean and high standard of housekeeping. Many thanks to the owners, housekeeper and the whole Classic team.

I would like you to pass onto the owners how impressed we were with their cottage. It was absolutely beautiful, charming and the wallpaper, well stunning!! Fully equipped with everything we needed. Thank them for letting it out to people like us.

My husband and I had a wonderful three-night stay at Fox Cottage. From the moment we entered the property we were wowed by it and felt completely at home. It is so tastefully furnished and decorated and very much to our taste. After a long walk or a meal out we couldn’t wait to return to ‘our’ cosy cottage. It is located right in the heart of beautiful Beaminster with its gorgeous shops and eateries and friendly locals.

This is a beautiful cottage in a beautiful place, would recommend.

A lovely little cottage which was so well equipped. Everything was new and very good quality. We really enjoyed our short break here . The sound of the church clock was not worrying or distracting to us at all.

A gem of a Cottage! Beautiful doesn’t cover it. Cosy, comfortable, relaxing beautifully decorated and equipped. Perfect location, the town is excellent and the Shops of great quality. The two Restaurants we tried, The Ollerod and Brassica are superb. Can’t wait to return.

Great place for a couple to hide away for peace and quiet and in a good situation for visiting the coast and countryside.

It is small but extremely well equipped, has a delightful little garden and plenty of storage space. We enjoyed the very friendly little town and the easy access to some wonderful walks. The church clock did not disturb us at all and we found the long stay parking very convenient to use.

Fox Cottage is wonderful and a real joy to stay in. We thoroughly enjoyed our week's stay. Our thanks to all involved!

The perfect cottage for a couples getaway. Very cosy, well equipped and beautifully fitted out. Lovely view of the church at the front and a pretty garden at the back. Only a two-minute walk to the town square and all the shops. We managed to park outside the cottage or if not, in the adjacent streets which was great. A peaceful place to stay with country walks from the doorstep and the coast within a short drive through wonderful countryside.

A beautiful, well appointed cottage. I just hope you like church bells.

Fox Cottage was beautifully presented with a very high end finish. The location was perfect and we loved the church bells chiming! Everything has been thought of to ensure a comfortable stay here.

This is a little cottage on a tiny little road with a view of the church. The decor, furnishings and equipment is all tasteful, modern and of a high quality. Obviously a lot of care and love has gone into fitting it all out.

What a find! An absolutely delightful cottage in a smashing little town with everything you could need for your stay. The furnishings and decor were superb.
We will be returning.
