A lovely well equipped spacious cottage very close to shops, pubs and restaurants. It is up a steep hill from the centre of St Mawes but it kept us fit. We didn't really move the car as there was so much to do from St Mawes, walking and using the ferries. We enjoyed the view from the window seat and would return.

Wow! what a beautiful house in such an amazing location! It exceeded all our expectations in every way. It has great views over St Mawes' harbour from the upstairs sitting/dining area. Much thought has gone into making this stylish and well equipped house a comfortable and relaxing place to stay with the added benefits of upmarket appliances and dedicated parking. It is quiet and private despite there being a Primary School nearby. The house is a short walking distance from the quay, shops, pub, cafes and restaurants, albeit down a very steep hill which makes it unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues. Falmouth is a very enjoyable 20 minute ferry ride from the quay (every half an hour during the day) for those wanting to explore further. A really wonderful place to stay in an excellent location. We could not have wished for more!

Really lovely clean, light cottage in great condition and very well equipped, would stay there again!

We loved staying at the Brake Yard and St Mawes is stunning, just be prepared for the steep road up and down to the house.

What a really great, well appointed cottage with the comforts of home supplied in abundance. A lovely place to use as a base from which to explore the Roseland Peninsula and further afield. We would highly recommend this property which has ample room for a large family or friends to share.

A fabulous cottage in a fabulous location. We parked the car up on arrival and didn't need to use it again, such is the location of St Mawes with all the walks, ferries and facilities. Despite being in the town it is a very quiet location perfect for a good night's sleep. We couldn';t find fault at all, the cottage is decorated and maintained to a very high standard, with luxurious towels and bed linen being an added benefit. The views of the estuary from the upstairs lounge window seat were excellent. We would stay again in a heartbeat. Just to note for anybody less able, the walk from the harbour to the cottage is extremely steep!

Loved St Mawes and the Roseland Peninsula. The house is in a great location (as long as you can walk up and down a steep hill). And we didn't use our cars at all because we walked, kayaked, took ferries. Great friendly pubs with good food and service, especially the Watch Tower and the Victory Inn. (recommend pre-booking). 1 The Brakeyard was a really lovely property for a group of six adults. VERY comfortable beds and bedding. Living room big, light, and perfect for us. Especially the window seat. My favourite spot with a book.

Cottage is in a ideal position for the many walks and trips to the harbour for the ferry. We found the cottage to be very clean and very well equipped and furnished.

We had a lovely holiday at 1 the Breakyard with the holiday home spotlessly clean and fitted out to a high standard with everything we could need. The view from the first floor lounge window was an added bonus and the window seat became a favourite place to read a book. St Mawes is a lovely holiday resort and although quiet has something for everyone. We would not hesitate to recommend this holiday .
