Cottage was spotlessly clean, with a well equipped kitchen. The sofa, chairs, and king size bed were all very comfortable. There is a small outside garden area (looks bigger in the picture) and a gravelled courtyard to sit out in. Dog walking not perfect as busy narrow lanes to navigate before reaching open land. The central heating was problematic. It is timed to go off at 9:30pm, which is rather early when you consider that Match of the Day does not finish until midnight. Trying to extend this by using the boost button on the remote control panel often took many attempts, despite the temperature being well below the stipulated 21 degrees max. The problem being that the remote control panel does not directly control the heating. That is done from the owners cottage. ...

We're absolutely delighted to see how much you enjoyed the cottage and hope you had many enjoyable dog walks, although it is a shame to hear you had some issues with the heating controls. With it being on a smart system, the owners have this automatically switch off at 9:30pm as this is when they found it most appropriate, but they have assured us that they do provide all the necessary instructions for you to control it yourselves. Had the owners known you wanted this to stay on for much longer than they would have been more than happy to adjust the timing for you to be as comfortable as possible! Magnolia cottage is immaculate and well equipped, it has a lovely warm atmosphere and Beverley has a warm and friendly personality. The cottage is very conveniently situated for getting to Wells and Bath by public transport as there is a bus stop at the bottom of the lane with an hourly service both ways. We enjoyed our stay very much....

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Magnolia cottage. It was light and spacious and extremely comfortable, with lots of homely touches. The courtyard area is a lovely place to sit in, as it is very sheltered and warm, especially in the evening. The cottage is also well placed for visiting Bath and Wells. The only negative point is that the cottage is on a narrow lane with no footpaths and we found it quite difficult to walk along with the dog because of passing vehicles....
