Tresahor Lodge is one of the rare times in life where the reality turns out to be even better than the photos. From the moment you swing open the huge oak door in the stone wall, you are in a magical place. The lodge itself is immaculate with everything you need for the week. The balcony makes a great place for morning coffee overlooking the lake and in good weather, there's always somewhere to sit in the sun in one of the deckchairs. The quarry is totally enclosed, so our dogs were able to race around in complete safety and I thoroughly enjoyed celebrating my 61st birthday by taking one of the pedalo boats for a spin round the lake. In the evening we had fires in the BBQ hut, which is like a TARDIS - much bigger on the inside than it looks. Everywhere you look, there are thoughtful touches from the stone seats and table by the lake to the subtle lighting that brings out the beauty of the quarry even as the sun goes down. Phil the owner is a really lovely bloke; he checked up a couple of times to make sure we had everything we needed (we did) and to see if we had any questions about the facilities (we didn't!) You also get a warm welcome from Jenny the dog. Despite the peaceful location, Falmouth is only 15 minutes away and access to Truro, Helston and the Lizard is quick and easy. We read in the visitors book of one family who have stayed three times - I can't say that I'm surprised. We will definitely be back....

A beautiful oasis and a perfect place to unwind, a perfect location out in the countryside but only 20 minutes from Falmouth. The BBQ hut was also great to use and we really enjoyed cooking up a feast. Phil was a great host and you can tell he cares a lot. We will definitely be back....
