Welloe Rock

Wow, Welloe Rock is fabulous! If your holiday is all about walking, seeing stunning Cornwall scenery and views from your accommodation, this is the place to go. The house is home from home like a big farmhouse, so comfortable and cosy, yet roomy too. It was very clean and well equipped. The views are spectacular from 2 sides of the house, with even 'a loo with a view'! The garden is a lovely size and very practical for dogs or children. The house is a short walk from the SW coastal path, with walks towards Porthleven one way or Marazion the other, as well as being just 1.5 miles along the path to Praa Sands beach. We normally stay somewhere different in Cornwall each year, but we have rebooked Welloe Rock already! What a find, thank you Margot and Classic Cottages, it was very painful wrenching ourselves away....

A lovely location with space for the whole family--endless sky and hikes right from the door!

Stunning house which is very well equipped. Big garden with several seating areas for lounging, eating or children's games. Very peaceful situation looking out to sea. Good location for beaches and short drive to Porthleven that has everything you need. Loved it....

Overall a lovely well-equipped house, with a welcome pack of scones and cakes etc. , many books & games, and great sea views. Also Margot the local contact was very helpful. If there is one downside to the location, it is the absence of any shops or pub in the village or nearby....

Welloe Rock..... The home that gives you a Hug. We enjoyed our week here so much that we rebooked it for next year before we left! The location is the icing on the cake; walking straight out onto the coastal path. We walked to Porthleven and Praa Sands and saw some beautiful sunsets. Tip, if walking to Porthleven - it's a rugged walk with a couple of challenging styles, especially if you have a dog. Where the path splits, take the lower path as this cuts out the two difficult styles (we have a greyhound so not an easy dog to lift up and over)! But the walk is worth doing. The house is fully equipped and it's warm. Spacious and homely. Margot's attention to detail is second to none. I think the suite in the lounge may benefit from an update as it's lost much of its support, but this is maybe subjective on what we all find comfortable. Plus, it hasn't put us off coming back! Fabulous home. Fabulous location and in Cornwall....... What more could anyone want ??...
