If you would love to stay in a traditional Cornish farmhouse steeped in history then this is the place for you. Despite its age Mount Wise Farmhouse is both warm, comfortable and spacious. It is surrounded by a beautiful garden and fields that you can walk in, with further walks right on your doorstep. We also found its proximity to major attractions in the area a real bonus as it is only a short drive to the major road and rail network. Jane the host is so welcoming and left some delicious homemade treats to help us feel right at home. She had also obviously really thought about what you might need when self catering, with a beautiful well equipped kitchen, plenty of towels in the bathrooms and a good sized utility with extra fridges and freezers and places to hang wet coats and place muddy boots, plus plenty of other thoughtful touches. We had a mixed bag of weather while we stayed, but it didn't stop us getting out and enjoying ourselves and we always had a lovely warm farmhouse to come back to at the end of the day. The only thing that we would say is that if you are very tall you might find some of the doorways upstairs a bit challenging as they are very low and quite narrow...
