The cottage was lovely and well equipped with a small but lovely garden. Enclosed, so we didn't have to worry about our Boxer dog getting out. Being near the ferry terminal was very handy and not at all intrusive. The pub, a two minute walk away, was great and with good food. The beach just a minute walk away and Quarr Abbey down the path opposite the pub was lovely, especially seeing all the piglets. We had a lovely time. ...

We really enjoyed our stay at Lucaster. It was very convenient being near the ferry terminal, but as other reviews said it was unobtrusive! The Fishbourne pub is just a short walk up the road & there is a lovely walk to Quarr Abbey opposite the pub. We had a very comfortable time in the cottage and hope to come back again....

Really loved our stay at Lucaster, in a quite and peaceful village setting. Great house with all the facilities and a lovely welcome pack on arrival. Beautiful secret village location on the green with a gentle 5min walk down to the beach to explore and watch the ferry's arrive and depart. When the tide goes out you have plenty of beach to explore. Nice pub - The Fishbourne - in the village - 1 mins walk from the house. Overall a lovely relaxing stay with the family....

We feel when we arrived this cottage should have been cleaned to an acceptable standard. It was most definitely far from clean. We found thick cobwebs, with flies in various places throughout, dog hair ON most of the furnishings, upstairs as well as downstairs. The fridge had been turned off with the door shut and rancid milk inside. Also as requested on the cottage literature we were asked to strip the Bedding before we left, when doing so we found soiled/ stained mattress topper on the double bed also we found blood stained pillows on the beds. As mentioned earlier this cottage needs a thorough deep clean before it’s let again. Our holiday at Lucaster has been a holiday that I never want to experience again....
