We had a wonderful week’s stay at Cider Barn, which is in a beautiful, tranquil pastoral setting. It was so lovely to wake up in the morning and look out at the sheep grazing on the hillside. The barn is a comfortable base to explore the East Devon coastline - we enjoyed walking along the Otter Estuary Nature Reserve (brilliant for bird watching!), visiting the Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary and taking a trip on the Seaton Tramway. We had some biblical downpours but there’s plenty to see and do in this area even on rainy days. Would recommend eating at Otterton Mill too. Thank you to Mike and Shirley for being welcoming hosts - the apple juice and lemon cake went down a treat after our long drive!...

The cider barn has a very tranquil setting, lovely views . Not at all far from many coastal towns which are all fantastic to visit at any time of the year. There is a waitrose on the main road brilliant for stocking up with essentials. The Bowd Inn is in walking distance along a woodland track, where you can enjoy a variety of meals....

Cider Barn is an absolutely beautiful place to stay. It's stylish but cosy and is well equipped. The cottage is surrounded by beautiful countryside, but is just a short drive from Sidmouth. The owners had left milk along with a delicious cake and some local apple juice, which was much appreciated. We're already planning to book it again in the spring....
