Mr. Power June 2025

A spacious, beautiful and well-equipped house with swimming pool, in a perfect location with glorious views, very close to Burgh Island.

Mr Pender-Cudlip June 2025

A wonderful seaside house, perfect for a large party who enjoy a fresh-water swimming pool as well as the beach. Everything is provided and thought through, but the wonderful views from living room and two of the large bedrooms are an outstanding feature. We ate in each evening, easy enough with such a well-equipped kitchen and large dining areas both inside and outside the house, although no doubt there are good restaurants in the area. We enjoyed the beach below the house, accessed via the private steps, and the main beach at Bigbury; we also enjoyed walking over to Burgh Island for a drink at the historic pub there, and wading across the Avon at low tide to investigate Bantham Sands. But we spent much of the time at the pool, on the patio, and in the spacious interior. An unforgettable stay....

Fantastic place with amazing views. Would benefit from more handrails for the young and elderly.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on Sunnynook. I'm very pleased that you thought Sunnynook had amazing views, we couldn't agree more! We have included a take care message on the listing as due to the location, elements of this property can be steep. The suggestion of additional handrails is appreciated. We look forward to hopefully seeing you again soon. Chloe, Customer Support. ...

This house could not disappoint anyone! Large luxurious living indoor and outdoor with amazing views and access to the beach. A very warm pool to swim in, a tranquil fish pond with gurgling fountain. It slept 10 but one room has a double and two singles in it so we used that as the newlyweds suite as so big! Our Son was married at Folly Farm just up from the house so perfect location! Highly recommend you visit. ...

Mr Ford March 2024

The house is amazing. The view is just wonderful! Sitting there for hours soaking up the view was just what we needed. Location is good. Beaches are also great. Pool heating is terrible though - the ambient air temp means basically, if the weather is cold, the pool is freezing. If the weather is warm, the pool will be hot. When you want it heated, it isn’t. Stupid system. The tvs are also old and do not have the full range of smart tv apps so bring your own devices. But generally, the house and the view make up for these two gripes., ...

We are so pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay at stunning Sunnynook! As per our description, the swimming pool is heated by an air-source heat pump, which runs off the ambient air temperature. During the summer months the pool temperature is warmer, but when the outdoor temperature is lower it is much cooler; we're sorry for any confusion. The TVs are in good working order and although the they do not have the full range of smart TV apps, we are pleased to report that Sky is available at the property. It's wonderful to hear that nothing could detract from that breathtaking view and we'd love to welcome you back in the future. Lucy, Customer Support...
