The village pub, stores and tea room are a short stroll down the hill from Sweet Briar Cottage.

At the mouth of the river, trendy Fowey sits on one side and pretty Polruan on the other - you can take a ferry across from one to the other.
This stretch of coastline has some wonderful family-friendly beaches to discover.
The National Trust's Lanhydrock House, gardens and parkland are quite stunning and within easy access - there is also a great network of cycling trails across the park.

We had a fantastic holiday in Cornwall, and Sweet Briar Cottage was the perfect base. The cottage is well equipped, clean, and has plenty of space. The garden, and in particular the tree house was a big hit with our children. The cottages location is excellent, with some nice walks in the local area. We would definitely book this cottage again in the future. ...

A very pretty cottage in a very pretty village in a lovely part of Cornwall. Very useful to have a shop and a pub and off street parking. Excellent walking at Gribbin Head and the Halls walk circuit using two ferries.
