I think our remarks say it all. Lovely Cottage and thoroughly enjoyed our weeks stay there
Mrs Steward September 2020
Wonderful cottage in a quiet and beautiful village on the Fowey Estuary. A local pub serving excellent food and a local shop with all the essentials you could need, made the stay even better. You don't need to get in the car, there are many excellent walks along the estuary and up through the woods. The cottage is light, bright, comfortable and I would highly recommend it; we shall certainly be booking again in the future.

We enjoyed our week at the cottage and it was perfectly sized for our family of 4. The location was stunning, with lots of lovely riverside walks (worth buying the local walks guide from the village shop). We appreciated the seating at the top of the garden, where you could sit in the evening and watch the lights twinkling on the river in the distance. Perfect quiet spot to escape the crowds. There are some little steps up and down inside the cottage, which is worth bearing mind for anyone who is not so steady on their feet. Access by car is a little tight and local lanes are charming but narrow - but just as expected in rural Cornwall. A relaxing and pretty place to get away from it all. The locals were very friendly and welcoming.
Mrs Hall July 2020
Beautiful cottage in a very Cornish village. Striding distance to the river and a short drive to upmarket Fowey. Superb beds and bedding - much more than you might expect from a rental.
Mrs Dandy July 2020
Lovely quaint cottage for a relaxing break away from the hustle & bustle.
Mr Gough February 2020
Had a lovely stay, gorgeous cottage, would book again.
Mr Smith September 2019
An excellent property which made our weeks stay very comfortable and enjoyable.
This is as good a cottage as the description implies , I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anybody .
I think its finest point is being able to sit on the throne downstairs, open the window and chat to dog walkers on the path outside. Truly decadent !
The nearby pub is lovely but the pricing owes more to Dick Turpin than market rates for food and ale .
Miss Newton-Smith September 2019
This cottage is absolutely amazing!
Mr Long August 2019
Perfect location for a couple or family holiday who like to get away from the crowds, but like to retain the comforts of home.

The ideal place to relax and unwind.
Mr Penman April 2019
Last minute Easter booking for family of 4 ( kids 9 and 8). Delightful cottage, calming in tranquil surrounds, tastefully decorated and sufficient mod cons to keep all entertained. Garden and surrounding areas great for kids and local shop and pub helpful and good value. No problems with access to or in the property - just a little care when leaving by car but, hey, it’s Cornwall - what do you expect. Thoroughly enjoyable property and location for family break - recommended.
Mr Rose November 2018
The cottage is well situated and Lerryn is a very attractive and friendly village. We found that some of the properties of the cottage made things awkward: • It was inconvenient to not have a wardrobe in any of the 3 bedrooms. • The cottage information also requests guests not to open the roof windows in the kitchen, but there is then no ventilation in the kitchen without opening the patio doors as there are no opening windows in the kitchen and no kitchen extractor. We were warned about a couple of features to be aware of relating to the floor. These were well-placed warnings as we found that – although we’re both able-bodied – we did trip a couple of times in the kitchen area. It’s also worth noting that the tight access from the road means that you really need 2 people to get the car in and out of the property’s grounds safely. One person needs to check for traffic and apologise to any drivers who have to wait for you to get in and out of the parking area. Fortunately there isn't often a huge amount of traffic in Lerryn.
