The little church at Church Cove, more recently made famous by the BBC series Poldark, is a few minutes down the road, with National Trust parking nearby.
Sandy at low tide and lifeguarded in high season plus toilets and a little hut serving snacks and drinks.
Build sandcastles or pebble towers, dip your toes in the water or surf the waves, the choice is yours.
Pretty Porthleven harbour is only five miles away. This 'foodie' place has lots of cafes, restaurants and quaint shops.
The Helford River has much to offer the visitor whether you like to explore by foot or on the water.
Kynance Cove is a highlight of The Lizard Peninsula.

Coverack Bay has a lovely sandy beach and a windsurfing school.

We had a fantastic Christmas break at The Cow Shed. Jo and Paul were very welcoming and the house was spotless, comfortable and had everything we needed. It is in a superb position for exploring the tip of Cornwall with the coastal path, beaches and several NT properties all nearby. We would not hesitate to recommend The Cow Shed to our friends and we would love to come back ourselves very soon....

A stunning cottage located in an excellent position to enjoy all that this part of Cornwall has to offer. A very warm welcome from Paul and Jo, which continued throughout our stay. The cottage is excellently presented and thoughtfully kitted out. We didn’t hear a thing from the farm and were quite surprised to hear that the milk tanker had been during our stay - we didn’t hear it at all. It’s very well insulated - didn’t hear next door either! Can not recommend the cottage highly enough - we will return!...

We had a fabulous stay at The Cow Shed. The cottage is beautiful and finished to a very high standard. Everything you can possibly think of is provided. The only problems we had were with the stair gate. It did not seem to fit properly and had to be refitted by my partner everyday. The patio and garden area are also lovely. Again, with the safety of our nearly 2 year old in mind, a gate at the top of the outside steps would be a great addition for future users with small children. The location was perfect for us and easily accessible for all major tourist attractions. We had a lovely evening meal at Amelia’s in the near by Porthleven. Overall a fantastic family holiday in a beautiful cottage. ...
