The little church at Church Cove, more recently made famous by the BBC series Poldark, is a few minutes down the road, with National Trust parking nearby.
Sandy at low tide and lifeguarded in high season plus toilets and a little hut serving snacks and drinks.
Build sandcastles or pebble towers, dip your toes in the water or surf the waves, the choice is yours.
Pretty Porthleven harbour is only five miles away. This 'foodie' place has lots of cafes, restaurants and quaint shops.
The Helford River has much to offer the visitor whether you like to explore by foot or on the water.
Kynance Cove is a highlight of The Lizard Peninsula.

Cadgwith Cove is only a short drive away.
Coverack Bay has a lovely sandy beach and a windsurfing school.

The Cow Shed is a lovely barn conversion situated in an ideal location on a working farm in a beautiful rural setting. There are many local stunning views and places to visit along this stunning part of the Cornish country side and coastal scenes. The owners Paul and Jo, both very nice friendly people have done an amazing job in setting up this excellent holiday barn conversion. We can't wait to return for our next years already booked holiday, see you soon....

The Cow Shed exceeded our expectations - the attention to detail, the quality of the furnishings and fittings, the thoughtfulness of the Owners in equipping this holiday home to permanent home standards, as well as the welcome gifts, meant we had the best stay ever in a rented Holiday Cottage and there have been many of those. We hope the next time we want to stay in the Helston area, this fabulous retreat will be available for us - we will have to book well in advance to secure it I think....

The Cow Shed is a true gem. Beautiful setting for a lovely designed barn to spend your holiday. Special thanks must go to our hosts Paul and Jo who made our stay very comfortable and the Cream Tea and flowers were much appreciated on our arrival. The location is perfect for visiting the many amazing places that this end of Cornwall has to offer such as:- The Lizard, Kynance Cove, Falmouth and St Ives, to name but a few... We would thoroughly recommend this barn as a place to spend your holiday. We have booked a number of holidays with Classic Cottages and this totally met our needs and expectations.
