This is an mazing hut in the perfect location for a truly relaxing stay. You will not be disappointed with hut, its location and its most charming and welcoming hosts. We will definitely be back as so many of their guests do.

Wow is the first word that comes to mind! The location of Tregwelan Shepherd's Hut is simply sublime. With stunning views over the estuary and only a short stroll into Padstow Town via the Camel Trail, it's location was perfect. The hosts A & J are extremely welcoming and have made the hut into a really beautiful space; spotlessly clean and with great amenities. We had a wonderful stay and I would highly recommend!...

We’ve just returned from a wonderful four-night stay at Tregwelan Shepherds Hut, and it was every bit as perfect as we remembered. This was our third visit, and once again we were lucky with the weather, treated to amazing sunsets and an ever-changing landscape overlooking the estuary. The hut is ideally situated right next to the Camel Trail, making it the perfect base for exploring. The owners are absolutely lovely, and the shepherds hut itself had everything we needed – warm, cosy, spotless, and thoughtfully equipped. Our previous stays were in the summer, so it was a real treat to experience it at a different time of year and see the scenery in a new light. We packed plenty into our trip: we hired a tandem and cycled to Bodmin Jail for a guided tour, enjoyed some beautiful coastal walks, and made the most of the many welcoming pubs in Padstow. Tregwelan continues to be a little slice of Cornish perfection for us, and we’re already hoping to return for a fourth visit. ...

The perfect place for a peaceful glamping break.
Miss Wilmore September 2025
This is our 5th visit to the hut! It is our home away from home. Alison and John are the most amazing hosts! They have really thought of everything you would need in the hut. The views are just amazing. We were lucky enough to have a fire pit with marshmallows on the first night with 2 firework displays (one in Rock, one in Padstow). We love being able to walk down to Padstow or around to Wadebridge from the hut. Once there you really do not need the car. Lovely walks and there is also the ferry over to Rock. It is so quiet and peaceful. Bed is super comfy and if needed there is really good WIFI. We love it there and we will be back! :)...
