This is a delightful cottage, great views across the shipping lanes so you get to see aircraft carriers, container ships, oil tankers and cruise ships. It is very quiet, at the end of a private road (gravel), and although there is no allocated parking, you get a parking permit to place on the console. The property is about 30m down a narrow path from the end of the private road, but once there, it is paradise. There is a Tesco superstore a few miles away, but there is an excellent community shop in Seaview, a ten minute walk away. There is also a pharmacy and post office, cafes and independent shops in Seaview. Three excellent pubs, The Boathouse, Old Fort and Seaview Hotel, all highly recommended. We had planned to explore the whole island, but despite a fine sunny week, we never left the north east corner. We loved the Bembridge windmill, Osborne House gardens, the Brading Roman Villa and the Dinosaur Isle in Sandown. Most of all, we just enjoyed a realxing week in Seaview, a delightful village with all you would wish for....

We thoroughly enjoyed our four-day stay at this beautiful thatched cottage. Having admired the property on many of our regular visits to Seaview, we were very excited to finally stay there. The views over Seagrove Bay and beyond are absolutely stunning, providing a peaceful and serene backdrop with no passing traffic to disturb the tranquility. Inside, the cottage is well equipped and has a warm, homely feel. Everything we needed was thoughtfully provided, and it was clear that a lot of care has gone into making the cottage a welcoming retreat. The location is perfect, with local shops and restaurants just a short walk away. During our stay, we felt completely rested and relaxed, and we are already looking forward to returning!...
