We've had another lovely holiday at The Bay Tree. Brilliant location for beaches and close to the village and all it's amenities. Wouldn't hesitate to return.
Mr Poole August 2023
A lovely property. We have stayed here 4 years running, and if we come back to Portscatho we will look at staying here again.
Mr Crow June 2023
Second time we have visited Bay Tree - we like it as it is spacious, light and airy and has been very clean on arrival both times. Good location for getting out to walk along the coast in both directions. Hope to be back soon.
Mrs Alcock April 2023
We had a lovely holiday at Bay Tree and once again Classic Cottages has proved outstanding in their service.
Mrs Pinder April 2023
Please make sure that details include that it is a steep climb up from the village and from the Hidden Hut.
Mrs Hilton June 2022
A very comfortable bungalow with excellent facilties throughout.
Mrs Good June 2022
Light and airy bungalow within a short walk to the village (although the area is not ideal for anyone with mobility problems) Parking is a bonus. This property is well equipped and has a large open plan kitchen diner, there is also a sun deck off the lounge which is ideal for al fresco dining.
We enjoyed our stay and felt the property was good value for money
Mr Crouch June 2022
Comfortable cottage with a few short comings. Probably not suitable for disabled persons.
Mr Mineards September 2021
We really enjoyed our stay at Bay Tree. It is a lovely place to come back to after a day exploring the beautiful Roseland Peninsula. It is very well equipped and there is a lot of space, particularly in the kitchen/dining room area.
Mr Jaffray September 2021
Lovely cottage in an excellent quiet location close to the village centre and coastal path.
Miss Scott August 2021
Excellent accommodation
Mrs James August 2021
Lovely location but a bit of TLC would have made all the difference as far as property interior and cleanliness was concerned!

Our second stay at Bay Tree, and again, a very enjoyable holiday with every need catered for and all Covid rules and requirements in place to keep us safe. It's a great base for getting out and about, with the coastal walks and dog friendly beach just across the road! Ideal for our energetic Border Collie! And after a day out exploring, it's so nice to return to this bright, spacious bungalow and just relax! Loved staying at Bay Tree - another winner from Classic Cottages Jane and Ivan and Jake the Border Collie
Mr Ash September 2020
Bay Tree is a lovely modern bungalow, tastefully furnished, excellently equipped and with superb access to beach , coastal walks, village amenities, and even a little view of the sea! Would recommend as fine for a family and particularly dog friendly with a safe garden surrounding.

Great location. Quiet road and perfectly central for walks inland, coast and town. Stayed many times and owners continously make improvements...

Bay tree is a wonderful place to stay. Clean, comfy and spacious. Set in the quiet less hectic Rosland peninsula. An ideal place for those wishing for a peaceful, scenic cornish getaway.
Mrs Williams June 2019
Bay Tree is an exceptionally well presented and equipped property and is situated in a very quiet area of Portscatho with a five minute walk down to the little village and also to the coast path where you can do some lovely walks with beautiful scenery. Roseland Peninsular is a very pretty area of Cornwall with plenty to do and see.
Mrs Shenton May 2019
We loved Bay Tree, it’s one of the best holiday homes we’ve stayed in. Can’t fault anything about our holiday, the village was beautiful and even the weather was good.
Mr Mooresmith October 2018
Great place to stay. Clean, spacious. Nice garden. Cosy, warm. Seperate dining and living rooms. Bedrooms clean, modern, comfortable, both with own wash / toilet facilities. Allows pets, but cleaned to a very high standard, so you wouldn't really know.
Ms Brereton September 2018
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bay Tree. It was very comfortable and extremely well equipped. Great place to stay if you want access to an all year round dog friendly beach and you enjoy walking. We would return.

A comfortable, light and spacious property in a wonderful location.
Mr Harris September 2017
A really fabulous stay in a cottage that way exceeded our expectations, to be honest. Faultlessly clean, beautifully laid out, wonderfully equipped and brilliantly located. We really couldn't find fault with any part of the whole holiday experience. The real surprise was the seaview from the living room (to Gull Rock and Nare Head). Oh, and that Bay Tree really was only five minutes to the beautiful dog friendly Porthcurnck beach. And, yes, we would/will heartily recommend to friends and family and to everyone else too. A real credit to the owner and Classic Cottages.
Mrs Fuchs July 2017
Lovely house in small village.
Mrs Francis April 2017
We loved this property as the layout is ideal with plenty of room and very comfortable. Very close to all the amenities and beaches - beautiful scenery surrounding this property and we highly recommend the Hideaway Hut which is situated just beyond the car-park opposite - fantastic views and ambiance! We highly recommend this as a holiday property - it has everything you need!
Mrs Corrie April 2017
Bay Tree is a comfortable well situated bungalow. It is perfect for a holiday with dogs due to it's location to Porthcurnick beach.
Mrs Turk September 2016
The Bay was even better than we expected with good size bedrooms, comfortable beds and quality beddings. The very large kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. We enjoyed the sunny enclosed back decking. The Bay is a short walk to the coastal path and the lovely dog friendly beach Porthcurnick with the fantastic Hidden Hut Cafe.
Mrs Young August 2016
The cottage is wonderfully located, with easy access to all areas of this beautiful part of the world.
The Hidden Hut is a hidden treasure just a ten minute walk away and a great place to while a way a few hours over a coffee/lunch/ice-cream and fabulous views.
Bay Tree Cottage is extremely comfortable and very well equipped indeed.
Of course the blazing sunshine for the entire week of our stay helped enormously!
Mr Allen August 2016
Excellent little bungalow. Very clean, modern, easy & comfortable holiday property. Lovely area, easy (hilly) walk to village & cliff walks. Overall delightful, ! Thankyou!
Miss Heweth July 2016
Disappointed with the outside amenity space to the rear which had no shade whatsoever. Poorly maintained decking and planting. Very limited private outside amenity space and poor outlook. Property description should really spell this out and should include photographs of the rear. Contrary to the implication in the property description there are no facilities to sit out at the front of the property to enjoy a BBQ. The inside of the cottage is very comfortabe and clean and we enjoyed our stay inspite of the above shortcomings.

Thanks for your review, and although you obviously had some fabulous weather, we're sorry that the back garden didn't have a parasol. We'll try to arrange for a photo of this area to be added. The furniture is at the back, as the front garden is more accessible to the general public, and it could be difficult for guests to have to bring garden furniture in and out regularly. However, maybe some lightweight portable chairs could be stored in the garage for the front and we'll make this suggestion. We're delighted that you enjoyed your stay overall and found the house clean and comfortable. Tanya, Customer Support
Mr Ingledew-Gale July 2016
Great accommodation, light, airy, spacious, clean and well-equipped. Also nice and quiet and private yet with easy reach of the village centre. Would recommend the cottage highly.
