Each of the 3 bedrooms are presented to the highest standard, all with beautiful bed linens.
All the bedrooms have super-king sized 6ft beds that can be made up as 3ft twins on request.

There are three wet-rooms to choose from, all beautifully designed. Two are on the first floor along with the bedrooms.
The water pressure is excellent here so that you can really enjoy a invigorating shower.

The third wet-room is on the ground floor.
This is the drying/laundry-room - with a separate outside entrance from the patio. Ideal for wet clothes and boots after a long walk in the Quantocks or of course, a wonderful horseback adventure.

Staple Plain, at West Quantoxhead, is the most fabulous place to park up the car and set off on foot or on a bike.
Dunster Castle towers above this unique medieval town, a stone's throw from the coast.
You can see right across the Bristol Channel to south Wales from the top of the Quantock Hills.

Bashford Lodge was one of the best self-catering properties we have stayed in (over 30 years' experience). It was very comfortable, the beds were perfect, and everything was provided for, especially the stupendous cake! (That didn't last long...) Jill was such a welcoming owner and we very much enjoyed chatting to her. The setting is so peaceful, the air is soft and refreshing, and the view is outstanding - as other guests have found, it is very difficult to stop sitting and looking at the rolling hills and the ever-changing clouds, light and shade. The horses added to the overall 'balm for the soul'. Although we are only an hour away - East Devon and South Somerset - West Somerset is a world away . The Rising Sun is well worth a visit and is in staggering distance! ...
