We had a wonderful holiday in St Mawes. We were blessed with fabulous sunny weather and staying in Laurel Cottage and sitting on the terrace looking at the sea view was bliss!! We hardly used the car. Lovely walks from the door and ferry over to Falmouth for more coast walks , stunning! The cottage has a lived in feel about it, like staying in someone’s nice home rather than a holiday let.There is everything you need and the kitchen is well stocked and lovely John Lewis china which I appreciated. Attractive old furniture and some lovely art work. Big fluffy bath towels. Extremely generous welcome goodies, much appreciated thanks very much. It is an old building and a little frayed around the edges but it’s absolutely fabulous location, extremely comfortable kingsize bed and the most stunning views made it hard to leave, we absolutely loved our stay so thanks to the owner. Thanks also to Emily at Classic Cottage’s for her help in organising very swift help when we had a minor electrical issue, Classic Cottages are simply the best in customer service! ...

I can see why there are not so many reviews of this house, it’s just in the best position and the house is just stunning. It’s a beautiful , calm house. So close to the sea you can hear it with the window open. You are on the road, it’s a tiny road, and there is a hedge which means people can’t look in on you if you sit at the front of the house. Bed very comfortable. Bathroom warm, with extra heater if it was cold. Whole house felt warm. Lots of safety lights which are so helpful in a house not known to you so no struggle to find light switches in the middle of the night. Really generous welcome pack, the best biscuits, tea coffee and milk. There is an iron and a hairdryer which always helps. Village is only a short wonder and St Mawes is a wonderful place. Kitchen had everything we needed. Tv easy to use with buttons for Netflix and Disney so you can easily log into your account. Hopefully we will be able to return in the future. ...

Laurel Cottage is an outstanding property, very centrally located in St Mawes, with a short level walk to all the facilities. The front of the property is south facing, so the front terrace and living rooms are bathed in sunshine all day, with views over the Fal estuary. Being set at a higher level above the harbour road, sea and beach views are exceptional, offering wonderful round the clock viewing of every boat imaginable from Rib, Dinghy, Yacht or Fishing boat to Cruise liners. ...
