Mr Old September 2023
We enjoyed our stay at 2 Old School Cottages and were pleased with the local area too. The cottage was homely and comfortable and good value for the cost. We were surprised at the local shops etc and local, reliable bus services. We would definitely return again in the future
Mr Boxall September 2023
The cottage is comfortable and in a beautiful location however it is cluttered with the owners personal effects and as a result multitudes of unnecessary notes of what to do and not do which detracts from the holiday experience. That said we enjoyed our stay and would recommend perhaps not to those with younger children as there are just to many items capable of being damaged.

Mrs Jackson July 2023
The property is spacious and clean. We could not use the conservatory because it had a large coffee table in it, in the shape of a boat that we weren’t allowed to move. We reported an issue with the shower room sink hot tap not working but it wasn’t fixed for 3 days. The owner had left handwritten notes around the property which were excessive. But the biggest issue is the owner’s block of many internet sites. I couldn’t use the Wi-Fi to access what’s app which was frustrating when 11 of our family were staying in other Classic Cottages in Portscatho and we were planning what to do. Facebook was also blocked. My husband couldn’t answer some his work emails via the wifi because business sites were blocked eg LinkedIn. We had to use our own data. The owner had written in the manual in the property that she restricted the use of certain sites but we didn’t know this until we arrived.

We're so sorry to see that you had some problems with the wifi at the property. We've clarified the owner's preferences (moderate parental control setting) and details of this are now included in the property description. Thanks for letting us know. Tanya, Customer Support
Dr Martin July 2023
This cottage is in a great location. You can walk to the beach and local shops, or explore the beautiful countryside of the Roseland.
Mrs Tilbury September 2022
Staying in this cottage was very accommodating, except for the cleanliness of carpets which should be completely thrown away. It should be totally we carpeted and decorated, flooring down in bathrooms. Tumble dryer brought into the extended second kitchen which houses the oven, it's a wonderful place and well situated for Portscatho.

Mrs Brimble August 2022
Lovely cottage in quiet location with good facilties and walking distance to the village amenities and little beach/harbour, plus the benefit of private off road parking. We always enjoy our stays here.
Mr Plowman July 2022
The property location is great however the standard of the interior of the cottage is very dated. Too much like visiting an elder aunts seaside retreat.

We're so pleased to see that you enjoyed the location of the property. The house is furnished in a comfortable country style to help guests have a relaxing, home-from-home stay. We always try to show the decor and feel of a house in our website photos, so would recommend having a look at these before booking so you can see if this appeals. Tanya, Customer Support
Mr Slack June 2022
This was a delightful cottage and ideally situated for local coastal walks and beaches without using a car. We swam from Porthcurnick Beach after walking over one or two fields and paths and the Hidden Hut catering facilities were the added bonus!
Mr Thomas January 2022

Mr. English October 2020
We had a fantastic stay in the cottage: it quickly became a home from home. Lots of clear information provided for guests, with advice on local attractions, shops and restaurants, which showed us how much the owners wanted us to enjoy our stay, which we did. The location was great - one pub on the doorstep and the village shops and restaurant/cafe places of Portscatho a short walk away, together with the beach and coastal path. Really enjoyed taking the ferries around to and from Falmouth, Flushing and St Mawes. Have recommended the cottage to family and we will come back again, hopefully!
Mrs Galloway October 2020
A cosy, comfortable, home from home, very well equipped cottage. Ideal location - 10 minutes walk to shops/pub/cafes in Portscatho & the South West Coast Path. Have recommended the property to friends.
