A short walk from the cottage will take you to Colyton Tram Station, where you can take the Tram that follows the river Axe to the coast at Seaton. Dogs are welcomed.

The Old Antique Centre is in the heart of Colyton, a really pretty and historic little town.
The Donkey Sanctuary at nearby Salcombe Regis is home to hundreds of rescued Donkeys and Mules, delightful for all the family, admission is free.
Miller's Farm shop at nearby Kilmington is packed with local produce and holiday treats.

This is the closest beach - a wonderful stretch of pebbles at Seaton. You can go there by tram from Colyton!
Beer is one of the pretty fishing villages or seaside towns to visit along the east Devon coast.
The Jurassic Coast is stunning - you might recognise this view from the television series Broadchurch!
Nearby Lyme Regis has something for everyone, Dinosaur and fossil museums, fishing trips, some great cafes, pubs and restaurants, or you may choose just to watch the world go by.
The Axe Valley - travel alongside the wild bird reserve on the tram from Colyton.
Seaton wetlands, enjoy the bird and insect life along the river Axe, only assistance dogs are allowed.

Myself, my husband and my sister have just returned from a 4 night break at the cottage. The moment we walked in we all said Wow! The cottage was beautiful, spacious and spotlessly clean. The kitchen was large and had everything we could possibly need. Being so close to the village was a big plus. We had a meal in the Kingfisher pub several times and the locals were so friendly, it was nice that they welcomed our dog too. We visited Sidmouth, The donkey Sanctuary, Beer, Lyme Regis, Seaton and would have gone further afield if we had the time. Hopefully we will visit again very soon. A lovely property that we would have been proud to call our own. We wanted for nothing. For us ideal in that it is on the edge of Colyton, ideal for that ‘first thing in the morning’ and ‘last thing at night’ dog walk. We had a really lovely week at the Old Antiques centre. Touched lucky by getting to see the Colyton carnival on the Saturday evening. A real home from home with everything you need enjoy a sit down and a home cooked meal or the options of eating out in the local area. The local fish and chips were good and well priced and the local butcher can also be highly recommended if you want to prepare some of your own meals. There are places to sit out with a drink and a good book when you get the sun both front and back of the house. The beds were comfortable and a trip on the Tram to Seaton is a must. This is an extremely comfortable , clean and well equipped cottage with lots of space for a family so you never feel 'crowded'. It is very useful to have parking for two cars, especially when you have children and a dog . There are always lots of things to go in and out of cars ! ...

In every respect 3 The Old Antiques Centre is a truly diamond property . The accommodation , furnishings and standard of cleanliness is unquestionably superlative. It’s location in the lovely village of Colyton is ideal with shops , pubs and other services readily available . We found the local people friendly and engaging and with the wonderful church bells on Sunday as a bonus we found our perfect place !! ...
