Nearby Lyme Regis has something for everyone, Dinosaur and fossil museums, fishing trips, some great cafes, pubs and restaurants, or you may choose just to watch the world go by.
The Axe Valley - travel alongside the wild bird reserve on the tram from Colyton.

The cottage is beautiful, very spacious and thoughtfully fitted out with lots of useful local information provided. We loved the two little patio areas to sit out in plus had fun playing table tennis in the garage. The setting is central in Colyton yet quiet and peaceful. Colyton is a perfect base for both the coast and the beautiful East Devon and Dorset countryside. There are several great little places to get food right on the doorstep. Using these and the local farm shops meant we didn't need to use a supermarket. Lovely local walks from the cottage. The beautiful Seaton Wetlands Nature reserve is just over half an hour's walk away and a further half an hour's walk from there takes you the coast at Seaton. Great local buses too....

Well equipped cottage which will appeal to all ages. Very dog friendly with lovely riverside walk on the doorstep. Excellent pub The Kingfisher a few minutes walk away. Good local shop and excellent butcher who makes lovely homemade pies. Tram ride a must! Large Tesco in Seaton. ...

What a lovely stay in a very equipped house. Close to the village. 2 parking spaces which is a big bonus in the area of colyton. Very close to village and amenities. Lots of things to do in the local area. Would recommend.

It is a very spacious, comfortable and well-equipped house. It is very close to the town's amenities but is also quiet. The rear courtyard is pleasant and safe for dogs. It is a bonus to have parking for 2 cars in a town where parking is very restricted. There are lots of walks from the door, which we really enjoyed and the seaside is only a short distance away. ...
