The gate to Fairview - you will easily spot it from the path as there is a sign on the wall next to the path too.
You can catch the little passenger ferry across to Fowey from the quayside in Polruan. You might be lucky enough to see a dolphin swimming alongside it.
The Lugger Inn is one of two good pubs in Polruan.
This is the amazing panoramic view to the west along the coast from the top of the hill next to the car park above Polruan.
This is the view that is in store for you if you take the coastal path towards Polperro.
Most of the harbours have lovely stetches of sand at low tide. This is Polkerris.

The Lost Gardens of Heligan are amazing and well worth a visit.
The water in the River Fowey is crystal clear.

Polruan is a good alternative to the busier Fowey and just a ferry ride away. The house is spacious, close to the harbour and ferry and the views from all the principal rooms, and the super garden, are unbeatable. The Lugger Inn was friendly, busy and served good food. Once you have navigated the route to Bodinnick the car ferry is a great way to get to locations further west. We have put our reservation in for next year....

Fairview is fantastic- beautiful property with amazing views in a super little village. It is not very accessible, but as long as you’re okay with this it is part of its charm. We loved the local walks and going across to Fowey. We went in October half term and Polruan was wonderfully quiet and peaceful. I imagine it gets very busy in summer....
