Excellent stay here very peaceful and private, the hot tub was much appreciated, the garden is perfect when the sun is shining. Location wise you do have to travel a bit to most places of interest, but the scenery is beautiful and the roads are interesting! The bedrooms are very spacious and comfortable and the addition of the en suite as well as the bathroom is helpful. Well equipped kitchen. Would definitely return and recommend. ...

This is a beautiful, spacious cottage perfect for families. Location is quiet and peaceful and the large enclosed garden is fantastic for dogs. Hot tub is a great way to unwind in the evenings. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and couldn’t really find any fault anywhere. ...

House was lovely, great secure garden for our dogs . Loved the hot tub. Very peaceful and quiet, lots of birds in the garden including blue tits nesting in the outside vent of the bathroom, lovely to hear the chicks and see the parents coming and going. Also seen a bull finch a few times. The house is way out in the countryside but we did manage to get a takeaway delivered! ...

If you want a quiet break away from it all, this house will certainly provide that. It was comfortable and had a safe secure garden for our dog. Plenty of walks from the house but beware narrow lanes and potholes if you wish to explore further afield. We didn't use the hot tub but I can imagine that it would be nice in suitable weather to lie there and listen to the sounds of nature all around. Lovely home made scones on arrival together with clotted cream, jam, milk, sugar and tea was just what we needed after a painful journey with two accidents holding us up! We enjoyed visiting Castle Hill Gardens and had a great walk along the river and gardens at Okehampton....

Moorhayes is in a lovely location, peaceful and not overlooked at all. Also very well equipped - but no hairdryer, so take your own! Fresh flowers and scones on arrival which was a really lovely thought. We had a really warm week but sadly couldn’t open the lovely patio door to let some fresh air in, due to so many wasps flying around the apple trees in the garden and trying to come into the cottage. Additionally the folding patio doors were locked other than a single one, and there was no key to be found. Bathrooms could benefit from a deeper clean but otherwise cleanliness was good. ...
