A warm welcome on arrival from the owner; clean, quiet, warm and very comfortable accommodation with a wonderful view of Golden Cap from the living room. During my visit I: went sea-swimming at Seatown; walked the SW Coastal path (Lyme Regis, Abbotsbury); visited local National Trust sites and the Dorset Museum (a larger exhibition of Elizabeth Frink's work starts in December 2023; visited the Museum at Chideock, generally relaxed and recharged and ate the best that only the West Country can offer. The local bus service located on the A35 is excellent and opens up travel options if you want to leave your car at the cottage. Wholeheartedly recommend.

The world may have changed in the five years since we last stayed at the Dairy but the cottage remains as welcoming, comfortable and well equipped as ever. The location - just half a mile from the beach at Seatown - is outstanding and a great base for walks along the SW Coastal paths. Personal touches such as a hand written postcard of welcome and gifts of wine and chocolates are indicative of the care and thought given by the owner of this small but perfectly formed holiday cottage.

The Dairy is a lovely place to stay for two, very clean and cosy with a wonderful view of the Golden Cap. Lots of walks from the door and plenty of choices of places to eat.

A lovely cottage perfect for two people with amazing views of the area and good bus service with no need to get in your car just relax.

A beautifully appointed unit, nice size for 2 people. Bus service is excellent and just a 10 minute walk away. Lovely view of Golden Caps from the lounge and outside sitting area which was great to use for evening meal (when the weather allowed!!), and to see the sun go down. Lots of interesting places to visit without travelling too far.

The Dairy is a lovely little well equipped and comfortable cottage, close to the amenities of Chideock and with close proximity to the Seatown beach. It's in a peaceful location with stunning views. . The local buses are very useful, particularly when the car parks are busy at peak times. It is very well placed to access many resorts and attractions in the area.

The Dairy is set in a lovely quiet spot with all local amenities within easy reach and the Beach at Seatown is within walking distance. There are many local eating places with good food and reasonably priced, even though we are in a cost of living crisis. I would not hesitate to book this accommodation again as this is our second stay here.

We had a wonderful week staying at The Dairy, it is in the perfect location on the Dorset coast. The cottage was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. We'd love to stay again.

Great property for 2 people, fabulous location - 15 minute walk to the coast path at Seatown, and within easy driving of other fabulous beaches and attractions. Lovely west facing terrace with lovely views - great for a sundowner

A beautiful little cottage in an idyllic location.

Beautifully clean, comfortable, cosy cottage with wonderful views. The cottage was in a perfect location for visiting our favourite places in Dorset, Lyme Regis, West Bay, Burton Bradstock and Burrow Farm Gardens, if you like gardens you won’t be disappointed. This was our first visit but hopefully won’t be our last. Thank you Sue for the welcome gifts.

We enjoyed our week staying at The Dairy.
Perfect location with views of Golden Cap from the lounge. Ten minute walk to the coastal path. The accommodation was excellent, spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, large carpark space and outside sitting area for watching the sun go down. The cottage contained everything that we required. A perfect home from home.

A spotlessly clean, comfortable house with programmable electric panel heaters. The bedroom is rather small, with no space for a chair. The bed is very comfortable. The shower is excellent. It's half a mile to the shop and pubs in Chideock village, from where there is an hourly bus service to Lyme Regis, Bridport, Weymouth or Dorchester. Car parking in these towns is expensive. There are plenty of walks nearby or within a short drive.

Thank you for your lovely comments about the property, we're so glad that you enjoyed it. It's great that the regular local transport links were able to take you out and about to discover what the area has to offer and we really hope that you enjoyed the Jurassic coast. We'd love to welcome you back to Classic in the future. Donna, Customer Support.

The Dairy is a beautiful cottage. Great level of equipment and furnishings. It has dedicated car parking and a gorgeous outlook. I am disabled and it perfectly met my needs. Really recommend this cottage

This cottage is in a lovely position very quiet but also in easy reach of 2 pubs ( within walking distance ) Beach and several walks all from the forested.

Can’t praise this cottage enough, clean and comfortable perfect for a couple.

Ideal location for coastal and inland walks. An ideal location for visiting Dorset and East Devon places of interest. Cottage was cosy and had all the facilities required for a couple for a week-long or short break.

Pretty and comfortable cottage, good location. Excellent parking. Lovely bed. Perfect for 2 people. The view even through the rain was lovely.

A lovely property, ideal for couples staying for a week. No washing machine makes longer stays a bit difficult in terms of laundry. Be aware that the walk to the beach involves passing a sewage plant (be prepared for the smell!!) …. and walking through either a campsite or holiday park … Gorgeous walks from the doorstep … a trek over the cliffs to Eype, West Bay and Hive beach in Burton Bradstock is well worth the effort! Great cafe at Hive beach. The Station Kitchen in West Bay is great for a fine dining experience. Comfy bed and good shower!

Thank you so much for your review for The Dairy - we are so glad that you enjoyed the lovely walks from the doorstep. We do list the facilities that a property can offer in the floor by floor breakdown above the features section and in the captions we do try to show the local area and what the local walks could entail. We are happy to read that The Dairy worked so well for you and hope to welcome you back in the future. Sarah, Customer Support

This was our fourth stay at The Dairy so suffice to say we love everything about the cottage and location. Over the 8 years we have been going the standard of decor and cleanliness has remained excellent. It was lovely to be able to go in summer to take advantage of the patio with its amazing view and to be able to walk to the sea down a footpath (which can be flooded/muddy in places at other times of the year). The location is conveniently off a main road yet peaceful and has so much to offer; perfect combination of sea and countryside. We only used the car once as there are so many lovely walks from the door offering stunning views. Thanks Sue!

Fantastic views, great local pub within walking distance as is the nearby beach.

Cottage is lovely and very well equipped. The owner provided us with a lovely welcome gift of wine and chocolates and on arrival we were grateful for the milk, coffee and tea that she had kindly included. It's in a beautiful location with a 15min walk to the beach from the doorstep which is through woodland and leads to the coastal walks. The beach is lovely but not suitable for children because there is quite a drop accessing the water and its not sandy but we loved it because its beautiful reddish colour and no sand flying in our face. The garden 8s really sheltered and gets the sun u til it sets, we bbq because it was so warm and sunny and very private. All 8n all we had an amazing week, plenty of places to visit from this location.

Excellent holiday home for two . Area good for walking. My husband and me would really recommend it.

Highly recommended. Lovely location, extremely well appointed and very good value for money.

This is a cosy, comfortable and clean little place; ideally situated for the coast and many of Dorset’s attractions. Plenty of places to eat out nearby: easy walking distance to three pubs serving food. Great place and location.

The Dairy was a modern, well designed and comfortable cottage. It was well positioned for walking to the coast and the views were fabulous. It was convenient for visits to the Jurassic coast and towns with fabulous scenery.

Would recommend this property for a nice comfortable and leisurely stay. Centrally located for travelling around this part of Dorset.

Beautiful cottage. Very clean, well looked after. Great location, plenty of walks on your doorstep. Close to pubs, shops, restaurants and the beach.

We found this property perfect for 2 with everything you could need. The views are stunning from the lounge, and it’s so peaceful and quiet. Very convenient to have 2 pubs within easy walking distance, one of which is overlooking Seatown beach. Should you encounter some wet weather as we did, you soon get dry in this lovely warm cottage. Would definitely recommend this place without hesitation.

The cottage is ideal for two people it was cosy and warm. Only a short walk to the Anchor Inn and beach.

Would thoroughly recommend this property for anyone wishing to stay in a quiet and convenient position to explore the general area and the Jurassic Coastline - fantastic location, very quiet, high standard of cleanliness, welcome pack, ability to walk many footpaths around the area and to Seatown Beach, and overall level of equipment.

We are thrilled that you found the property to have a high standard of cleanliness and well equipped. We hope to welcome you back in the future and should you need any assistance we are more than happy to help. Sarah, Customer Support

Quaint cottage in lovely part of the country. Equip well, clean and very comfortable. Could have stayed longer will return .

Lovely little spot, warm, cosy and well equipped. Everything we needed was there and The Dairy is in a great location for exploring the local area.

Liked: Pretty much everything - small and perfectly equipped (and crucially, not over equipped) for its size.

Didn't miss whatever had been removed to reduce Covid risk. In fact it seemed perfect and uncluttered as was.

Great location between Seatown and the village (and The George!). Perfect location to explore the Jurassic Coast area and beyond.

The OS map was really a good idea (I had brought the wrong one!) although it might not last another season.

Didn't like: Nothing!

Excellent location. Nice decor. Quiet. Gorgeous setting.

A Wonderful peaceful safe, spot. Lovely watching the swallows every morning and lovely views.

We're so pleased to hear you had a great time at The Dairy. With views across the garden to Golden Cap there couldn't be a more perfect and peaceful place to enjoy a glass of something after a long day exploring all that this fantastic area has to offer. Bryony, Customer Support

Very clean and lovely cottage, w of Golden Cap and wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. Bridport is an excellent town with good shopping areas; the Farm Shop up the road is a miscellany of goods.

A well located cottage with lovely rural views.

Lovely accommodation in peaceful surroundings. The cottage is compact but has everything you need to guarantee a comfortable stay. Lots of extra finishing touches which make a difference. This was our fourth visit to the Dairy and hopefully will not be our last!

It is a well-furnished house in a beautiful setting. You can take the most beautiful walks from the cottage.

The Dairy was very comfortable and ideal for 2 people. Watching the sunset over Golden Cap in the evening from the patio was lovely.

Very comfortable and clean cottage and wonderful welcome always from the owner of cake wine and flowers. Dairy cottage has everything you need for a very nice break hence we have been many times to Doghouse Farm and look forward to many more stays. The area is beautiful and the cottage in a lovely position. Fantastic views of Golden Cap ( the walk up there is worth the effort) . Lots to do in the area something for everyone.

We had a lovely stay at The Dairy. It is an ideal place for two and in a really good location. Very close to Lyme Regis and Charmouth and also Bridport and West Bay. A short walk to the local village however we didn't venture to the beach on foot as the weather wasn't ideal. The welcome goodies of wine, flowers, chocs and cake were a lovely touch. Thank you Sue! Once again a lovely holiday accommodation from Classic Cottages.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Dairy. The location was ideal, quiet, but within walking distance of the pub, local shop, beach and plenty of walks from the door. The cottage itself was very comfortable and cosy and a pleasure to come back to at the end of the day. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cottage and hope to return one day.

everything was fantastic

This is a wonderful place to stay, peaceful location, short walk to the beach and pubs, what more do you need? Lovely and would recommend a stay here.

We had a wonderful stay at The Dairy last week. This cosy little cottage had everything we required for our week away in Dorset. It was so lovely to receive the lovely touching gifts the owner had left for us, these small things mean a lot. The Dairy is exceptionally clean and comfortable, like home from home. The surrounding area is beautiful and is a perfect location for visiting other areas of Dorset. Its also superbly positioned to walk to the local beach of Seatown, (approx 15 min) we walked every evening to see the sunset at The Anchor inn with a pint or two. The nearest town of Bridport (approx 10 min drive) is a lovely little market town and also just around the corner we had a lovely day at West Bay where Broadchurch was filmed. I would highly recommend The Dairy and would most defiantly stay again if i revisit Dorset.

Cottage superb - clean, well equipped, lovely views of Golden Cap; welcome pack amazing (flowers, chocs, wine, cake - fantastic). Sunny patio with shade when needed (+ BBQ to use) It's on a working farm but that was interesting rather than bothersome. Short walk to local pub (good food & service); also walkable to beach (& pub) at Seatown.

The Dairy far exceeded our expectations in every way. The cottage is delightly furnished and equipped with everything you could possibly need and is in an ideal location for visiting the surrounding area. Close enough to Bridport for shopping but far enough away to enjoy the tranquility of the countryside. The beach is only a 15 minute walk away and leads to many other enjoyable walks - including West Bay and Golden Cap if you 've got the stamina! We also can't fail to mention the lovely surprise welcome gift of a bottle of wine, chocolates and a lemon drizzle cake to 'die for'. We have already booked again for next year.

Very comfortable bed, and a great welcome pack.

Our third stay at The Dairy but this time for longer so we could enjoy it all the more. Perfect location and setting nestled below the down-land, close to the sea with a west-facing view of Golden Cap. Feel so comfortable in the cottage which is modern but homely. Love everything about this accommodation!

We had a thoroughly enjoyable week, we could relax as soon as we arrived. The beautiful scenery, cows in the field, the harvesting equipment coming in and out, perfect. Also plenty of food pubs in the area, we went to a different place each day.

Lovely comfortable cottage, which is very well equipped and in a perfect location. Fab additional touches including cake, flowers and wine as a welcome, which was much appreciated. Short stroll to either the village or the beach.

An excellent location for anyone wishing to explore the Dorset and Devon coastline. The property is very clean and tidy with excellent views across to Golden Cap.

One of the best cottages we've ever stayed, a real home from home. Lovely furnishings, very well equipped, very comfortable and lovely views from the patio area, especially in the beautiful summer evenings. Lovely welcome gift. Great location, easy access to Devon, Somerset and Dorset of course. I can highly recommend this cottage to all. I wouldn't hesitate to come back again.

Another lovely stay in the Dairy, our fifth stay at Doghouse Farm and third in the Dairy . The location is stunning with so many places to visit and lovely walks . Everything you need for a relaxing holiday. We shall return next year.

It was very well located and peaceful. Within walking distance of beach and eateries. Lovely lemon cake and flowers was a nice touch.

The cottage was very well prepared for us and was very comfortable, almost like being at home.

The cottage is in a lovely location, making it an ideal base to explore Dorset and Devon. Also within easy walking distance of the sea, pubs and shops. The cottage was lovely and clean and very comfortable, and Sue, the owner, left some very thoughtful welcoming gifts. It was lovely to sit on the patio, soaking up the evening sun and listening to the birdsong. I would definitely recommend staying here.

We have just had a great week at The Dairy - stunning views, great walking and lots of thoughtful extra touches that made our stay so comfortable and welcoming. Pam and Robin Caine

Lovely cottage in a beautiful area, would definitely return.

One of the best holiday cottages we have stayed in. The location was lovely.

No traffic, close to the sea. Lovely equipped.

Overall the Dairy is a lovely cottage in a great location to go out and about and see the sights , Durdle door , Portland bill just a couple ,lots of walks locally to enjoy .

We felt very welcome from the day we arrived. The cottage was well equipped and comfortable. We will certainly look at booking for another time so we can explore more of the Dorset coast as a week wasn't enough.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful location.

The cottage was just wonderful. It was fully equipped with everything you may need. The lemon cake, bubbles and flowers really made us feel welcome. The Owner couldn't be any more accomodating. We are thinking of returning next year!

Perfect location for a week's break, so much to explore we will definitely be coming back. Cottage perfectly laid out for the two of us and very well equipped. Patio area a bonus with a lovely view of the Golden Cap. Good options for grocery shopping and eating out nearby.

The owners make it so welcoming that it feels like home from home, a very well equipped cottage for all of your self catering needs.

Very clean, modern and cosy cottage. Fantastic sunsets over Golden Cap. Very easy distance for walking the coastal path and driving to nearby towns. Cottage well equipped with everything you require.

The funkiest little dairy cottage with fantastic views, location was great, easy to go to different places from the farm. Will return.

Really comfortable accommodation on a working farm in a beautiful location.

Absolutely delighted with the cottage!Well appointed. Beautiful views! Stunning walks! We were so sad to leave.

The most comfortable bed we have ever had in a 30 years of staying in holiday cottages!

We enjoyed staying at the dairy ,it was such relaxing to stay there . Ten minute walk to the Beach . If you like walking or just relaxing ,it's the ideal place to stay in Dorset . Nature ,Coastal views and a little cottage to get away from regalur life.

This is one of the best cottages for facilities and location we have been in many years.

Wonderful home from home fantastic location and we will be back next year.

Great attention to detail which puts this accommodation ahead of most.

Excellent cottage for two. Lovely patio area to sit in the evening and eat alfresco!

A lovely cottage in a rural setting, yet within walking distance of great pubs, fantastic walks along the coastal path and the beach. Would definitely book again.

Very warm and friendly cottage, nice touches and within touching distance of some beautiful scenery.

We stayed at The Dairy for 1 week. It is absolutely wonderful I didn't want to leave. The cottage is so clean and welcoming and the cake, biscuits, wine, milk and card on arrival was a lovely touch and just what we needed after a long journey. The cottage is full equipped with everything you might possibly need. I would definitely recommend this to anyone and we will definitely be staying here again.

Lovely, comfortable, clean and well equipped cottage with stunning walks nearby. Flowers, wine, biscuits and scones a lovely touch.

Brilliant location, beautiful cottage and very welcoming owners and what a wonderful few days we had - just wish we could have stayed for longer!

An exceptional stay in an exceptional property in an exceptional area! Highly recommended .

The perfect stay for a couple with one young child

This property is perfect for two and has everything that you could possibly need. It's clean, comfortable, homely and located in an excellent position. We certainly got the sense that the proprietor cares about the accommodation and service that she provides, calling around just after we had arrived to make sure everything was okay. I would love to stay again and would not hesitate to recommend this property to my friends.

This was our first visit to The Dairy and use of Classic Cottages. We found both cottage and the service were excellent and will definitely visit this cottage and use the service again. Thank you!

We have had many holidays booked with Classic Cottages and have enjoyed them all but The Dairy is the only one we have returned to. It is cosy and extremely comfortable, with stunning views and the owner has done all she can to ensure that guests have all that they need.

The Dairy has been beautifully converted into a bright, modern yet cosy & comfortable space that's just perfect for two. The west facing French doors onto the garden gave an amazing view of Golden Cap that we could have looked at all day! Really makes the cottage special. Location of the cottage is excellent in that it's just off 'A' road access to elsewhere but is set in the middle of very quiet countryside & feels more remote than it is. It's only half a mile's stroll to the seaside village & pub of Seatown as well as being only a mile's walk to the SW Coast Path & Thorncombe Beacon - fantastic! Hope to visit again soon.

We're so glad you enjoyed your stay - it's a beautiful stroll down to the beach as you found, but we thought we'd point out that The Anchor Inn at Seatown is closed for a major refurbishment in early 2014 (they plan to re-open on 16th May 2014) - however, dont' despair as The George Inn is only a quarter of a mile away up in the village. Tanya, Customer Support

The dairy is lovely cottage just a short walk to the beach and within easy stroll of great local pub. Out of season the area is nice and quiet, the proximity of holiday park may change this in summer. Very clean with everything we needed and the home made scones on arrival were a real treat.

A lovely cottage, everything you need, cream tea on arrival a lovely idea. Will be back but will probably stay in the larger cottage next door, the parlour..all decorated to a high standard, very clean.

Great location and view of golden cap.

Lovely little cottage in great peaceful location. A few local pubs nearby that do good food. Lots of walks with beautiful scenery. Definitely recommend a stay here (unless you want a wild holiday!)

Excellent modern property, fabulous location, ideal for couples, who wish to get away and relax. The property and surroundings are beautifully maintained.

My wife and I found the dairy very nice and comfortable with very good local walks to explore.
