Sea Cottage is in a unique position with direct access to the beach and the Tarka Cycle Trail, with the local cricket club and access track to the cottage on the other side of the Cottage.
Walk down into the town and catch the ferry over to Appledore.
Instow's sandy beach is wonderful at low and high tide.
Sea Cottage is tucked away in the sand dunes to the left of this photograph of Instow.
The passenger ferry will take you from Appledore to Instow during the summer months.
The Instow Cricket Club is a stone's throw from the cottage. This must be the best location to watch a summer match!
Woolacombe is one of many stunning north coast beaches.
This is the seemingly endless beach at nearby Saunton Sands.
Charming Clovelly is a short car journey away.
Sit by the harbour at Clovelly and take in the lovely view of the village.
Take the passenger ferry to Lundy Island from Bideford for a day of bird watching.
Have a day of adventure at North Devon Wake Park where you can wakeboard, paddle board or enjoy the giant aquapark!

Following other guests' comments I was prepared for the approach to the cottage not being too lovely and it is a little offputting but the cottage itself really is delightful. It is beautifully presented and spotlessly clean - easily the best standard of any holiday property I have stayed in. The bed was a little small for us (we are tall and fat) but it's a normal double so that's a tiny quibble. The location is ideal for dog owners - the lovely sweep of sandy beach is totally dog-friendly and dogs can go straight from the house to the beach without a lead. The cottage is peaceful and quiet and we had a very relaxing stay there. You soon get used to the cyclists whizzing past the window on the Tarka trail! I was surprised to see that there is another property after Sea Cottage as it looks as though there isn't in the photos - however, it does not impinge at all on your privacy and we soon forgot it was there. All in all, an excellent property....

Lovely cottage, really cosy and well equipped. Fantastic location for walking and cycling. Home cooked cakes and welcome pack was a really nice touch. Having the ability to clean up the dog outside after his walks was excellent and ensured he was not dirty before going back into the cottage. The dog treat and blanket was a sweet gesture too. The communications from the owner were excellent. Highly recommend this property. ...
