A clean and cozy oasis. It was a perfect place for our week away. We didn't quite realise how remote it was which was perfect for us but something to be aware of.

What a wonderful location. Tranquil, beautiful scenery, abundant bird life and occasional glimpses of deer in adjoining fields. The Mouse House is wonderfully welcoming as are the hosts, Jon and Rose (and Hamish, their lovely dog). The weather was unkind but it didn’t matter as we found the Mouse House an excellent base for visiting many parts of Devon and even Cornwall. Thoroughly recommended....

We would highly recommend this accommodation - it was beautifully presented with stunning views

This is a property not to be missed! We have travelled frequently around the world staying in stunning accommodations and The Mouse House now sits in our "top ten" self-catering properties. After booking on-line, the cottage easily lived up to our expectations. It is immaculately furnished, spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable for a couple. The location is outstanding, with views over rolling countryside where you can watch red deer herds in the fields and enjoy many garden birds, or generally chill out. The separate summerhouse, set in the colourful garden, is solely for the use of guests to sit and drink-in the surroundings through the large picture window. The only sound that may wake you in the morning is the birdsong and possibly a visit from Hamish, the gorgeous black lab! The owners Jon and Rose made us feel very welcome and could not have been more charming hosts. Without hesitation, we would recommend a stay at The Mouse House to our friends and will certainly return for another few days of rest, relaxation and tranquility!...
