Well equipped cottage in peaceful location. Location was ideal to access other southern areas of Cornwall without spending too long in the car.

Beautiful house in a peaceful location. Good parking, house well equipped and presented. Local roads not for the faint hearted, but add to the charm. We found the master bed small, did not feel like a king, more cosy. Central location, great for accessing many parts of Cornwall.

What a fabulous property, just perfect for our holiday. Our second visit to Burnfoot, one week as a couple the second with our daughters and families. Beautiful setting for a relaxing holiday, with ample internal and external space. The property is extremely comfortable and spacious with attention to detail in the furnishings and equipment. There was nothing we needed that wasn't available. Perfect location to visit both North and South coasts with fantastic coastal paths, beaches and places to visit. A special thank you to Tracey, the housekeeper who was very helpful and accommodating. Excellent holiday

We have stayed in Burnfoot before (and Gilly Barn next door) both are excellent properties, spacious and comfortable, in a quiet rural location with far reaching views, within easy reach of so many beautiful places to visit. Although they are indeed reached by narrow lanes, you soon get used to them. Tracey the housekeeper is very helpful, she phoned to say we could get in a little earlier if we wished and then again to make sure we had arrived safely and had everything we needed. The cream tea, wine and milk that she had left were very much appreciated and helped us settle in nicely.

We didn't get to Caerhays this time, but would definitely recommend to anyone who hasn't been, using the admission voucher kindly left in the cottage. Trelissick Gardens (National Trust) also well worth a visit.

We took the short train ride from St Erth to St Ives around the bay, which we have done many times before but never tire of the view, however we suggest going early as it does get busy.

We sampled the Sunday carvery at The Fox & Hounds at Comford - not too far from the cottage - one of the best we've ever had, with locally sourced produce.

We wouldn't hesitate to recommend either Burnfoot (or Gilly Barn) and very much look forward to future stays.

It was lovely to hear how much you enjoyed your return visit to Burnfoot - we'd have to agree that the St Ives branch line journey must be one of the most beautiful train trips in the country, and definitely one for the itinerary! We look forward to welcoming you back again soon. Tanya, Customer Support

We chose this property because we were 3 family groups and there was more than enough space for the five adults and 2 young children. there was plenty of information provided about things to do in the area everything we needed for the week was provided, even down to a tray with scones, cream and jam! There was plenty of safe outside space for the children to play and we could not have wished for a better location.

We are so glad you found everything you could wish for a family holiday with small children. It really is a good base for exploring the region and we are so pleased you had plenty of information on the local attractions. We would love to welcome you back soon. Sarah R, Customer Support

Burnfoot is a beautifully decorated, furnished, very well equipped property in a lovely, quiet countryside location. We were a party of 6 so it was great to have the three bathrooms, with very powerful showers! It was easy to relax at the property as it was so peaceful with lovely countryside views. We found the single track road to reach the property a bit daunting at first but got used to it after a few days and only met traffic once coming the other way! Located within half hr of destinations on lots of lovely beaches on North and South coast. Godrevy and Gwithian on the North coast were our favourite. Trebah gardens with its own private beach is well worth a visit too, pre booking on their website is required. We would highly recommend Burnfoot for your holiday.

A beautiful property situated within a desirable quiet location. The children loved the upside down living and the open space to the rear. A lovely place to enjoy your time away.

Fabulous property in a wonderful location. Everything you could need and want in a holiday property.

The property was a little hard to find at first although following the instructions helped enormously, as the Sat nav tried to take us down a dirt track and then stopped a bit short. The lane leading to the property is very narrow, but you got used to it quickly though and it really wasn’t a problem. Really well situated to visiting lots of places which was great.

Watching the cows wonder by for milking was loved by my older parents.

A well equipped cottage and very spacious, plus exceptionally quiet.

The welcome treat of cookies and bottle of wine were a nice touch. Plus the cleaner phoned to check that we were ok too!

Burnfoot is a delightful cottage situated on a farm about half way between north and south coasts. Pub and farm shop selling meat and some veg about 1 mile away. Nearest shop is a convenience store about 3or 4 miles away. Nearest supermarket is in Redruth who deliver. It is spacious, comfortable and warm and is very well equipped and beautifuly decorated. Quality furnishings, bed linen and towels. It was spotlessly clean on arrival . Broadband works well Large enclosed garden at front and rear with garden furniture and barbecue . Access roads are typical narrow Cornish lanes but fine even for a big 4x4

If you don't mind being in a rural location, Burnfoot is a quiet, spacious, well equipped and comfortable cottage, but still easy enough to get to many wonderful locations in this part of Cornwall, especially the amazing beaches. A visit to Caerhays is recommended with the free admission voucher kindly left for cottage guests.

Stunning accommodation, such a beautiful space to stay in for our holiday, clean and comfortable and so quiet and such an excellent location for seeing the sights of Cornwall. Can’t wait to come back and stay here. Thank you so much for making our stay so lovely.

We had a lovely stay at Burnfoot over Xmas with family. The property is excellent, comfortable and relaxing and in a lovely quiet spot but not too far from places like Falmouth. We stayed in Gilly Barn over the Summer so we knew the area and it was just as good as before despite the weather!

Burnfoot is a very welcoming cottage, we’ll equipped with spacious accommodation. Scones and wine were a lovely touch on arrival. As the weather was so cold we were provided with extra logs during the week. We are talking about returning next year.

We had a great holiday in this lovely cottage, so clean and well looked after, this is a 5 star place to stay. Thank you for the scones, cream, jam, milk, wine and flowers on arrival, Tracey the housekeeper kindly text to say the cottage was ready for us to arrive and phoned later to make sure we had settled in ok. We would definitely like to return next year. Thank you, Wendy, Richard, Vickie, Barry and Reuben the dog.

Beautiful accommodation, decor so lovely, a home away from home. Very well equipped, fantastic showers! Also loved the wine, scones, cream, jam, butter and milk on arrival, most appreciated! Only one slight negative was the fridge freezer which was noisy. Otherwise everything was excellent and we all agreed we would love to return.

Very comfortable and restful. Beautiful views

Completely loved Burnfoot! Lots of room, very clean, beautifully decorated and equipped. Nice little touches like some scones when we arrived, logs supplied and a call to check everything was ok. Already booked again for next year!

Fabulous cottage which is very well equipped. It’s situated in a lovely quiet location with spectacular views over the countryside.

A very nice property on the edge of a farm yet within its own grounds, so loved seeing the cows going past the gate for milking, the pigs & also the guinea fowl sitting on our window sill! The property was equipped & decorated to an extremely high standard, really lovely. A beautiful, quiet, peaceful countryside location.

Spacious, quality accommodation in such a peaceful location. Working farm on the doorstep was fascinating to see. Challenging finding routes on the narrow lanes but we nailed it!

Good location however have to drive along lots of narrow lanes but that’s Cornwall for you

Loved the cottage , it’s decor , and the showers with large heads was appreciated .Superb position in Cornwall to stay at property and enjoy peace and tranquility , but equally so good to explore Cornwall ,as well sited to visit many of Cornwall’s coast and areas of beauty . Welcome gifts and phone call from Tracy the housekeeper was welcomed too . Great experience , would highly recommend .

The property was built to a high standard and had every piece of equipment you could possibly need, It was quiet and the peaceful rural views were lovely. The property was also warm and the wood-burning stove was both decorative and when lit added ambience to the room. Thank you.

A lovely barn conversion with excellent facilities and a great base for exploring the west of Cornwall. Welcome pack excellent - very nice touch!

A lovely, spacious property, in a beautifully quiet area. Very well appointed and great facilities, everyone in the family enjoyed their huge bedrooms with direct access to the shared "garden" at the back. The roads are very narrow and twisty to get there - only to be expected given its location - but this didn't detract at all from what was a wonderful holiday. Would definitely stay here again.

The best appointed cottage we’ve ever stayed. A cosy, tucked away home from home in a great part of Cornwall.

Burnfoot is a lovely spacious property. Well located for exploring West Cornwall and for both the North and South coasts. If you like peace and quiet and a rural location you will love Burnfoot. We would not hesitate to recommend it.

The property is beautiful in a scenic countryside location, however it is not far to attractions like beaches. Each room is decorated perfectly and the comfort is excellent . The property exceeded expectations and would definitely recommend.

A cosy spacious barn conversion in a quite rural location. We enjoyed the views and local walks but wellies are a must at this time of year (early April). Plenty to do within 20-30 minutes drive. Local butcher, pubs and chip shop all worth a visit. Nice walk round Stithians lake. Plenty of room inside and out.

Wonderful cottage in a good location.

Lots of provisions , toiletries, welcome jam and cream scones with wine. Plenty of clean towels everything was clean and washed throughout. It was easy to arrive and relax. The rooms were all large and spacious, the garden was well tended and tidy. Burnfoot exceeded our expectations, a lovely place to stay.

this cottage is spot on

Great cottage rurally located but in easy reach of Penryn campus, an excellent base for visiting our daughter at university whilst enjoying a fabulous Cornish holiday.

Lovely spacious cottage, very well equipped, very handy having 3 showers. Great rural views and very peaceful. Great base to explore Cornwall.

A warm and well equipped contemporary barn with great views across the local countryside.

Very comfortable and clean accommodation. Great views.

Great holiday home for two families. Met each evening in Gilly Barn for dinner, very relaxing, even though the weather was wet and windy!

Nicely situated and appointed cottage. Very quiet, but be aware it is next door to a farm and country smells are sometimes obvious. But then, also have cows to observe plus other wildlife.

Very good accommodation. Light shines through sky light in mornings Daughter a light sleeper and woke her up ?? Shade or black out curtain ? Required for her

Thanks for your review of Burnfoot. We're so glad you enjoyed your stay - and obviously had some lovely sunny mornings! We'll pass on your suggestion of a blackout curtain to the Owners, thanks for letting us know. Tanya, Customer Support

The caretaker/s here are gems. NOTHING was too much trouble and on the couple of occasions we spoke to them, they were really excellent. Lovely setting for a large party and we played cricket, boules, rounders etc and barbecued most nights.

Good or bad, we publish all the reviews left by the guests who have stayed in this cottage, with the few exceptions stated in our Review Guidelines.
