Barbridge Farm often has visiting sheep and cute little lambs.
You will be welcome to explore the farm - just ask the owners - and to watch the wildlife using the lake. Please take care and supervise children at all times.

The owners are happy to introduce you to their Alpacas, Bondi, Crinny and Polo.
You may be able to feed these gentle Alpacas.
The Half Moon pub in Melplash is one mile away.
The stunning Jurassic cliffs at West Bay. Have lunch at the Watch House cafe - right on the beach.
West Bay has the nearest beach to Barbridge Cottage - this is the pretty harbour there.
This is the beach at Seatown, just below Dorset's famous Golden Cap. There is a lovely pub here too, perfect for lazy seaside lunches.

We had a wonderful week in Barbridge Cottage in early June, even the weather was kind. The cottage is very comfortable spacious and well equipped with everything you could possibly need and things you didn’t even know you needed. The welcome basket left by the lovely owners was an unexpected bonus. Great location for visiting the Jurassic coast and surrounding countryside. Sally and Justin are great hosts very welcoming and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. They really do seem to enjoy meeting new guests and give you as much or as little attention as you want. This was our second visit to Barbridge Cottage, the hosts Justin and Sally were again fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. We also enjoyed feeding the ducks and alpacas and chatting to Justin who gave us some great recommendations of places to visit and places to eat. We had a very relaxing time so thanks again, I'm sure we will be back....

This is a beautiful, warm, comfortable cottage which is exceptionally well equipped. The hosts are very helpful and the welcome basket was much appreciated. As well as being well placed for exploring west Dorset and east Devon, the on site attractions of the resident animals, especially the alpacas, are an added bonus. We were particularly blessed with mild and dry weather for November which ensured we could play golf, fly fish and complete some pretty challenging walks for a couple of crumblies! We first stayed here in 2006 and our return certainly did not disappoint....
