The farm is set in a gentle valley about a mile from the little town of Colyton.
Another newly created visitor attraction is the Seaton Wetlands - a peaceful nature reserve which attracts many species of birds.

You can visit the Seaton Wetlands any time but the bird hides are not open every day so do check.
The famous Seaton Tramway is a must! There is a station in Colyton and the route along the Axe Valley is beautiful.
Seaton has a pretty harbour as well as the long pebbled beach.
The coastal town of Seaton is just a few miles away. This is the brand new Jurassic Visitor Centre - a great place to visit with young children.

We had a lovely week at Stable Tallet, the house was perfect for our family get together and holiday in Devon. Kitchen is perfectly stocked with everything you need. Accommodation was comfortable and peaceful but remember you are staying on a working farm so flies can be a problem - but in fairness you do get used to them! Lanes to and from the cottage are not for the faint hearted, you just need to take it slowly. Games room is excellent - we all enjoyed playing and spectating in there. Owner was very helpful and settled us in nicely. Our only gripe was the water pressure meant 7 of us had to coordinate showers which was a bit of a pain, this is because the water comes from a well on the farm. 9am departure felt harsh, 2 parties of our family ended up leaving on the Thursday evening. But all in all a great week ...

A very well equipped property in a lovely peaceful location .The fishing lake,games room,bbq and hot tub were a real bonus .A good base to explore East Devon from .We had a really enjoyable stay .
