Heligan Gardens are a short drive away and well worth a visit, especially in the spring.

Please pass on our thanks to the owner - we intended to write in the Visitor's Book, but forgot in our haste to get on the road on day of departure. We had a wonderful stay in Vougeot, as we always have and are looking forward to coming back!

Vougeot is a delight!! Homely, comfortable, high standard of furnishings, and peaceful with its own little semi-private garden. It's very close to the centre of Fowey - a short walk down a steep slope, but that's what Fowey is. Then all the shops and restaurants are right there. We ate twice at Sams, both wonderful seafood meals. Went twice to the Eden Project on their annual ticket, a short trip and easy to do if you don't want to cram it all in one day. It's also lovely to eat there (paella at the Mediterranean Biome recommended), and our son did the new zip wire :-). Went to Lost Gardens of Heligan, took a motor boat ride on the river, and checked out some beaches, so a cracking holiday. We would love to return. ...
