Polkerris is a tiny harbour close to Fowey with a sandy beach as the tide drops back.
The Rashleigh Arms is right by the beach in pretty Polkerris.
Par Sands has plenty of parking right by the sand dunes.
Mevagissey is a quintessential fishing village just a few miles from Fowey.
Heligan Gardens are a short drive away and well worth a visit, especially in the spring.

A lovely comfortable modern cottage just minutes from the centre of Fowey but in a peaceful location. The owners have done a super job in making sure visitors have a great stay, including a bottle of wine and biscuits to greet you on arrival. Receiving a card from the owners by post hoping we would have an enjoyable time was a nice touch. Fowey is a bustling little town on the river with lots going on in and around it. The steep hill leading up from the centre can be a bit of a challenge, though!...

A very comfortable and well equipped cottage with private parking. Convenient to the town and the many excellent pubs and restaurants. Very easy to take the ferry to Polruan and Mevagissey.

A very comfortable house and so close to everything the harbour is lovely and the beach was great. Plenty of great places to eat. And nice shops to have a wonder around. We enjoyed it so much the house is very well equipped and spotlessly clean.

A great location as a base for exploring Fowey and the surrounding area. Car parking easily accessible from the main road, without getting stuck in traffic jams on the narrow lanes, and bus stops nearby. Just a few minutes walk from the Town Quay, though a bit of a climb up the steps to get back. Well equipped, one of the best places we have stayed in recent years....
