Super-kingNestled on the north coast of Cornwall, found through lanes, is your little slice of heaven. The Nook offers the total seclusion of the countryside and the draw of the sea - the best of both worlds.
Park up and you will find yourself in a rural retreat on the owner's farmland; up two steps through the front door and you instantly relax. Entering on the ground floor you are welcomed by the warm and well-equipped kitchen with everything you might need to cook up a feast. The thoughtful owner has made sure there is a little breakfast-bar to perch on for that first morning coffee or dive straight into the fresh cream tea when you arrive. The bathroom is also found on the ground floor with a large bath for long relaxing soaks or washing salty locks as soon as you get in from your day on the beach.
Upstairs you find the light, large and airy living space and bedroom up in the eaves with cosy sloping ceilings and windows overlooking pretty lush trees so you hear the rustling trees as your music. At the top of the stairs, perfectly located, is a table for two where you can enjoy long lazy brunches or perhaps a romantic meal reconnecting and making exciting plans for the next day's adventures. The large sofa is perfectly positioned to enjoy the warmth of the flickering flames of the wood-burner making this a snug retreat at any time of year, perhaps with a cocktail in hand using the cocktail kit the owner has left. Through the sitting-room is the bedroom with a luxurious super-king bed where you can rest your weary limbs and enjoy a good night's slumber under the stars.
From the bedroom you can access one of the two outside areas, there is a coffee pod machine so hopefully your loved one will make you a fresh coffee and you can patter down the steps to your private terrace where all you can hear is bird song at the start of the day. There is another lovely private outside area to be enjoyed at The Nook, just opposite the entrance to the property is a private patio which is a real sun-trap where you can enjoy lounging on comfortable chairs around the fire-pit.
There are three other properties at Trebudannon Farm, and you are very welcome to stroll around the charming communal orchard and wild gardens with pretty wildlife filled ponds (please take care with small children and dogs) and sit for a while listening to the bird song. On a rainy day or a winter's eve you can enjoy the shared games-room. Electric vehicle charging is available, payable via an App.
Getting out and about, there's so much to see and do from this perfect base you are spoilt for choice. You're in Cornwall so days out on the coast are a must. The north coast has so many great beaches on offer, you could pick a different one every day, and with Newquay, Watergate Bay and Mawgan Porth only a 15 minute drive away, you don't have to travel far to find three of the best. Here you can enjoy exhilarating surf, golden sands and endless miles of stunning coastal footpaths - perfect for you and your four-legged friend, if you have one in tow.
The Nook has several country pubs close by and nearby the lively town of St Columb Major is only a few minutes' drive away. Here you will find local shops alongside hearty pubs and a great fish and chip shop if you fancy a night off cooking.
Why not pop into the popular towns of Padstow and Wadebridge for independent shopping and great places to eat and drink, or hire a bicycle and cycle along the Cornish Way cycle route which is close by. If you would like to bring your own bikes along you will be happy to know that there is a wonderful shed on site that you can safely store them in.
For gardening enthusiasts, the historic houses and gardens at the National Trust's Trerice and Lanhydrock will take you back to a Cornwall of a bygone age, and a trip to the world-renowned Eden Project or The Lost Gardens of Heligan is a must.
