TwinThe dairy is a warm and welcoming barn conversion perfect for slow mornings, costal adventures and cosy evenings by the fire. Being is the largest of the four barns at Kingston, and featuring a spacious kitchen/dining area, this is the ideal place for everyone to come together. A separate sitting room opens onto the pretty enclosed garden, perfect for enjoying afternoon tea or an evening meal in the island sunshine.
Sleeping four guests in two warmly presented bedrooms, the double bedroom has a calm and welcoming feel with the added convenience of an en suite bathroom, alongside a pretty twin room suitable for both children and adults. A modern family bathroom with fitted shower completes the accommodation.
Step outside into the pretty enclosed garden, a private and peaceful space where you can truly relax and unwind. Sit back with a glass of wine after a fun filled day exploring the island and enjoy the tranquillity of your surroundings.
Kingston Barns is made up of four adjoining barns, the three other properties are The Cattle Byre (4535), The Stables (4537) and The Pigsty (4538). Each of which can offer separate accommodation or a perfect place to invite the whole family for a special occasion.
The southwest of the island offers some of the most stunning and dramatic scenery, with many coastal path routes to follow and charming county pubs to stop at along the way. The Tennyson trail, named after the poet Alfred Lord Tennyson, is well worth a go. Fourteen miles of stunning scenery, your four-legged friend will love it, encompassing Farringford House and The Needles as the finale.
There are plenty of beaches to explore within easy reach. Compton Bay is a popular spot for surfers due to the waves that form when the south-westerly wind is blowing on shore, and you can even see dinosaur footprints when the tide is out - it's one of the best locations to search for fossils, hours of fun for all the family.
Colwell Bay, on the western shore, is a mixture of sand and shingle. With calm shallow waters it is more suited for swimming and snorkelling. You can finish the day with dinner at The Hut, a high-quality dining experience offering superb seafood and a picturesque waterfront location. Please book in advance to avoid disappointment!
If you are looking to keep the little ones entertained, the isle of wight has plenty to offer. Thrill seekers will love a day out at adventure parks such as Robin Hill, Blackgang Chine and Tapnell Farm each packed with fun for everyone. For a more relaxed pace, enjoy a stroll around Newton National Nature Reserve, known for its natural beauty and an excellent spot for bird watching. History lovers will not want to miss a trip to Osborne House, once the summer residence of Queen Victoria and Price Albert. Here you can glimpse into their private world, wander through the stunning gardens and even visit the private beach where the royal children once played. Whatever it is you decide to do, you will be sure to make memories you will cherish forever.
