Sandy Den is a fantastic holiday cottage in a beautiful location. The accommodation was spacious and perfect for a couple. We appreciated having fresh milk in the fridge and also fresh flower arrangements in the property. There was everything you needed for a home from home experience. ...

The Sandy Den is a true gem on the coast of South Devon. Situated across the road from the sandy beach it deserves full marks for its location and comfort. Everything you may need for a perfect holiday, is within walking distance. A butcher, grocer and baker provide provisions and a seafront restaurant ( The Clipper ), pub ( The Ferryboat Inn) and cafe cater for anyone wanting a meal or drink. Other options are the London Inn and Foss Inn. The passenger ferry ( only 60 yards along the beach ) goes to Teignmouth from Shaldon, on a regular basis during the day. £2.50 each way. A dedicated parking spot is provided for guests in the Sandy Den and is worth its weight in gold. The owner was wonderful and always available to answer queries and give advice and information. ...

Our stay at The Sandy Den was really enjoyable. The kitchen is very equipment and everything was clean. The bedroom good size with LOADS of wardrobe space which is rare. The bathroom lovely size too and with the biggest towels provided, also rare! The host was so helpful and accommodating and even left milk in the fridge and bit of chocolate, few teabags and coffee. You couldn't get a more perfect location, right opposite the beach with a private seating area and your own parking space. Thank you, we will be back. Clare & Elton, June 2026...
