Stunning cottage in an idyllic setting with beautiful walks on your doorstep. Warm reception from the owners (generous and high quality filled welcome hamper/ fresh flowers in each room/ regular check ins to ensure all in order) Cottage with its garden overlooking the river was spotless and oozes charm and tranquility. Derbyshire is a beautiful part of the UK with its wonderful vistas and so much to see and do. Our stay at River Cottage made our stay more memorable and have already booked to return to this gem of a cottage next year....

Our first visit to the Peak District and we couldn’t have stayed anywhere more perfect. River Garden Cottage is an absolutely stunning property in a stunning location, beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. It has such a pretty garden with river frontage and walks direct from the door. We really didn’t want to come home and wish we could have stayed longer. The owners Martin and Su were wonderful hosts, incredibly thoughtful and welcoming, checking to see that we’d arrived safely and were settled in and comfortable. There were beautiful fresh flowers in every room and a wonderful and very generous welcome hamper too. We loved our stay at River Garden Cottage and can’t wait to return next year. A really lovely cottage in a lovely location - perfect for walking without the car as many circular routes can start from the cottage (on and off the Monsal Trail).
