Cobble Cottage

A beautiful cottage in a lovely courtyard with a large very well kept garden down a path bordered by wild garlic and bluebells. The cottage is very well equiped and convenient for Bude. North Cornwall and Devon. I loved it!

Cobble Cottage is incredibly charming and we loved the log burner which we put to good use every evening. The decor is perfect for the cottage and they have clearly put a lot of thought into the decoration and furnishing of it. My partner is 6'5" so we found the sofa's to be a little smaller and firmer than we are used to however, it did not impact our stay one bit and we would definitely stay again (especially as I could hook up my Spotify to the bathroom ceiling speakers which was great when I was having a relaxing bath - highly recommended!) A special mention goes to the exceptionally well thought out kitchen supplies - as someone who cooks whilst away, it is always a frustration of mine that there aren't enough utensils or dishes etc and this is without doubt the best stocked kitchen I have ever had the pleasure of cooking in - thank you! (I was particularly excited to see the new roll of Costco foil in the bottom drawer which I guess is a symptom of my age ??). Please note that the freezer (and washing machine/dryer) are in the outhouse along the cobbles and the key is in the cupboard in the hallway for this. Its a great little room and very handy. The garden is fabulous and we were only sorry that we weren't there during summer when we could have made good use of the bbq and enjoyed the evening sun. The owners have clearly gone to great expense here to make it lovely for guests to use and it was much appreciated first thing every morning when I walked my little dog down the path to sit there and have a quiet few moments listening to the woodpecker ?? For information, despite there not being onsite parking we always found somewhere to park directly outside the property (only a few feet away). Also, the neighbours were lovely too as was Sally (the owner) who answered any questions that I had directly which was helpful. Thanks again - we really enjoyed our stay! Rebecca & Paul ...
