An extremely comfortable cottage, in an excellent location for exploring South Devon.

Agatha Cottage is truly the best Classic Cottage we have ever stayed in and we would highly recommend it on every level having scored 10/10 from us. Sam has created a beautifully appointed cottage and the attention to detail is second to none which makes for a very relaxed stay in a lovely location. As mentioned by previous guests everything you need is to hand in Galmpton village and you instantly feel part of the thriving community. Parking outside the cottage is very accessible and the ability to walk from the cottage to open countryside is on your doorstep. The outside space to Agatha cottage is a real bonus, two sunny courtyard areas to the back of the cottage and a very welcome bench to sit on at the front to watch the villagers and horse riders go by. We cannot wait to return to this cottage....

On arriving at Agatha’s Cottage we all felt immediately relaxed and welcomed. The whole house was very tastefully decorated with well chosen furniture. From the house we were able to explore the English Riviera, Totnes , a small area of Dartmoor .Dartmouth and the beach at Blackpool Sands- which we particularly liked. A very enjoyable week....

Agatha Cottage is beautifully appointed, very well-presented and extremely comfortable. It is a lovely place to stay and we hope to return at some point in the future. Our host Sam was very helpful and welcoming. Her recommendations of places to visit or to eat were excellent and she provides a great deal of useful local information which all contributes to a very enjoyable stay. The cottage is very well-situated in terms of location. We highly recommend the walk to Greenway through the woodland and having explored the house and gardens, it is well worth taking the ferry from the quay to Dittisham for a delicious lunch at the Anchorstone Cafe. We also highly recommend Coleton Fishacre (NT) which is a short drive away but is a wonderful place to visit and the gardens and view to the sea are absolutely stunning. Totnes, Brixham, Kingswear and Dartmouth (via the ferry) are well-worth a visit and are all within easy reach as are lots of other delightful local villages such as Stoke Gabriel....

We had a lovely break at Agatha Cottage enjoying good weather and lots of walking from the doorstep and with the ferries to get around we didn't always need the car. In an edge of village location within the resident community and a hop skip to the welcoming local pub which serves tasty food it was an ideal position. Early April is a beautiful time to visit and it was primrose heaven in South Devon. We particularly enjoyed the gardens at Greenway and Coleton Fishacre. They are stunning. Totness is a delightfully quirky town, great shops and we would recommend Canteen for lunch. Next to the library the food is delicious with great service. After our days exploring we returned to the comfort of the cottage which has all you will need, stylishly decorated and with very comfortable furnishings. Personal contact with Sam the owner was appreciated and she made sure we knew she was on the other end of the phone were we to need anything. ...
