Miss Husbands September 2025

We had a lovely stay at the Cow Shed. The house was comfortable, the views were lovely. The position was great, many places to explore nearby and the nearest coast (Bude) was around a 50 minute drive which we didn't mind at all. Yummy chocolate cake on arrival and Richard was very friendly when we saw him but left us to it, which was great. All in all a lovely week away and would certainly recommend. Thank you again Richard....

We had a wonderful 6 night stay at The Cow Shed. As previously mentioned, the flexibility the owner allows of arrival days was key on our decision to stay here. That and the gorgeous location of course. The meadow for our little furbaby was an absolute highlight and was another reason why we chose this property. The wildlife you see/hear is wonderful and if you go up to the community shop and spend some time with a coffee…….well that was another highlight. Fabulous community, fabulous place. Go you won’t be disappointed....

A comfortable warm cottage. The upstairs shower room is rather small. Lovely view from the cottage.

Mr Perren October 2025

The Cowshed really lived up to expectations with its rural location and a great views. A quaint and cosy cottage which is well equipped and comes with a generous welcoming pack which included locally produced artisan cakes! It is dog friendly with plenty of walks around a charming village with its little shop and a pub. One word of caution..... the locals! They are very friendly and are happy to chat particularly if you are a dog owner! Those morning dog strolls take much longer than expected. This adds to the charm of the village. Love it!...

Lovely location within easy reach of places of interest. Sizeable property for 2 and a medium sized dog. Exbourne is a quirky place but very pleasant to stroll around with hardly any traffic. Richard, the owner was very helpful. Loved the cake left for us on arrival....
