Just a few miles from the dramatic north Devon coastline, and nestled in acres of farm and woodlands, this former cattle shed offers the perfect rural retreat and plenty of reasons to choose Wren Cottage for your next getaway.
On the ground floor, you'll find the compact kitchen, equipped with everything from the that all-important Nespresso coffee machine to wine glasses for enjoying a sundowner after a full day exploring the local area. The cosy sitting/dining-room features exposed stone walls, a nod to the building's history, along with original wooden beams and the bright orange and blue sofas are perfect for sinking into after a busy day.
The large French doors lead out onto the patio area, complete with table, chairs and parasol - perfect for whiling away afternoons with a glass of wine and a good book. The patio also overlooks the shared play area, complete with lounge swing, badminton net, and small football goals, great for keeping an eye on the family while you relax.
Downstairs you'll also find the first of the two bedrooms. Set as a twin, it's generously sized, bright and features some of the original beams from the cattle shed too. There's also a handy cloakroom downstairs and plenty of space in the hallway to store welly boots, or buckets and spades. Upstairs you'll find the second bedroom, with its comfy double bed and views out onto the shared lawns, as well as the family bathroom.
As Wren Cottage is dog-friendly all the family can come on holiday and best of all, there's a dedicated fully enclosed four-acre dog field, with a five foot high fence set within the grounds of Robin Hill Farm.
The cottage has full access to the Robin Hill Farm amenities. There's great outdoor play spaces including an impressive climbing frame with slide; a large indoor swimming pool, set at a balmy 28 degrees and shared games-room with pool table, table-tennis, foosball and large TV - great for dedicated film nights. But best of all is the 14 acres of surrounding farmland, there are signposted walks you can take through the farm's woodlands and surrounding areas, before heading back to the warmth of Wren Cottage.
There are five additional cottages within Robin Hill Farm, Swallow Cottage (6039), Kingfisher Cottage (6040), Heron Cottage (6041), Puffin Cottage (6042) and Gull Cottage (6043) sleeping 30 in total and can all be booked out together making Robin Hil Farm the ultimate destination for large groups wanting to explore the amazing Devon countryside.
Robin Hill Farm is only five miles from the golden sands of Westward Ho! This beach has been awarded with the prestigious Blue Flag accreditation for its water quality and is great for enjoying various watersport activities during your stay. Make sure to take a dip in the sea pool that is filled with sea water at high tide. Surrounded by picturesque views and the sound of crashing waves, it's a magical place to swim.
Nearby, you'll find the town of Bideford with plenty to do, from exploring the thriving shopping centre or historic Pannier market, there's over 80 independent shops to discover. From here, you can also board a boat that will take you to Lundy Island, only three miles in length, and half a mile wide - it's a great day out - and depending on the time of year, you may even spot a puffin or two.
If you fancy venturing a little further, Barnstaple is just 11 miles from the cottage, or why not cross the border into north Cornwall, where you'll find plenty of things to do, from castles filled with myths and legends to more expanses of breathtaking beaches.

Please take care on the cobbles to the front of the property as they can be slippery when wet. There are three steps down to the front door. Internally, there are steps up and down into some of the rooms and some sloping ceilings. Please supervise children at all times when using the swimming pool, play areas and games-room. Dogs are not permitted in the communal areas and must be kept on a lead in the car park and courtyard. The pool is available to book for daily exclusive hour-long sessions.
