DoubleArmsyde is the perfect holiday home for a group of family or friends who want to experience the ultimate slice of Padstow life. Situated in the old town, this gorgeous three-storey 18th Century town house has been renovated to a high standard throughout in a style that is in keeping with the age and character of the building, retaining much of the original charm and features.
The delightful, double height kitchen/breakfast-room is the heart of the home and a place for all to gather with its dual fuel range cooker and toasty wood-burner and all the cooking equipment you will need to try out your culinary skills - well you must, you are in the culinary capital of Cornwall after all!
Patio doors lead out to two sunny terrace areas where you can enjoy dining al fresco style and if you prefer to dine inside, there's also a formal dining-room with beautiful oak floors and a cast iron fireplace. After dinner you can discuss the antics of the day whilst relaxing on the large comfy sofas in the elegant sitting-room, or those with a competitive edge may head to the games-room for a game of pool, table football or darts. And if some quiet time is the order of the day and you're looking for somewhere to lose yourself in the pages of a good book, then the little snug will do just nicely.
Ascend the stairs, please take care they are a little uneven, to the first and second floors where you will find the beautifully furnished bedrooms each with their own en suite which will ensure there will be no queuing when you are getting ready to go out – and go out you must as there is so much to see.
Just a two minute stroll down the road and you find yourself in the heart of the town where gastronomic delights are in abundance. Add to this trendy shops and galleries, pubs and cafes galore and a whole host of festivals and celebrations throughout the year and you have a great holiday destination.
There are terrific beaches and coastal walks right on your doorstep, or why not get on your bike and cycle the 18 miles of the Camel Trail through Wadebridge and up to Bodmin Moor – you don't have to go the whole way as you can always stop off en route for a cream tea or to sample some award winning wine!
