Nestled in the exceptionally pretty Looe valley, with wonderful views across the rolling countryside, come and immerse yourself in Cornish charm, rural bliss and a wonderful wildlife haven at this delightful barn conversion for two and your tail wagging friend.

Set on the outskirts of the little village of St Keyne and only four miles from the coastal footpaths and the seaside town of Looe, The Barn at Litle Windsor serves up the perfect blend of coast and countryside.

This lovingly restored retreat offers a warm welcome from the friendly owner who lives on site - ready to assist if needed, but always respectful of your privacy. From the moment you arrive, you're invited to relax and unwind in their little slice of heaven and take life at a gentler pace. Start the day with a morning cuppa in the garden, enjoy a lazy lunch in the sunken terrace or stargaze with your favourite tipple in hand, with the songs of the birds serenading you throughout your day.

Inside reverse level accommodation is the order of the day, to make the most of the views. On the ground floor, the bedroom is adorned with lovely linens that perfectly complement the setting and here you will also find the shower-room, convenient not just for your morning shower but should you want to come in and rinse off straight away after a day on the beach or a countryside ramble.

Upstairs you'll find the open plan living-room, the place to settle down for cosy moments on the sofas and when it's time to dine, you are promised a table with a view at every meal. The sweet kitchen comes equipped with all you need to prepare that nourishing 'Full English', holiday picnics and savoury suppers with some fresh produce picked up from a local farm shop.

This is a great base for discovering all the delights that this part of Cornwall has to offer. The traditional seaside town of Looe is the place to join a fishing trip, browse around the shops and galleries, take a boat trip across to Looe Island or enjoy some good old Cornish hospitality in one of the many cafes and restaurants and from here take the coastal footpath to the utterly quaint fishing village of Polperro.

There are wonderful walks right from your doorstep and garden enthusiasts will delight walking around the gardens and parklands at Lanhydrock (National Trust) as well as the historic house. For those a little more adventurous, you can hire a bike and cycle the network of trails that wend their way around the estate.

The stylish sailing town of Fowey is well worth a visit, with its annual festival and summer regatta, and a little further down the coast discover historic Charlestown with its listed harbour and collection of old ships.

For a complete change of scenery head inland to Bodmin Moor to discover outcrops that defy gravity, vast open landscapes and a whole host of pretty villages with their obligatory pub - perfect when you need to re-fuel.
