TwinWelcome to Fulmars; aptly named after the sea bird which has bred in Hunstanton since 1965 and nest on the clifftops close to this generous and well presented holiday home. Set back from the clifftops in a sought-after location, you can enjoy the fantastic views out to the sea from many of the rooms including the large open plan downstairs living area and first floor bedroom. Furnished to a high standard Fulmars is a delightful family-friendly seaside escape suited to a variety of guests who may wish to enjoy a traditional seaside holiday in this bustling Victorian seaside town.
Sleeping up to eight guests across four bedrooms, three of which are located on the ground floor, including one double room with views to the expansive rear garden and two twin bedrooms, one of which enjoys views across the clifftops to the sea, and all of which share a spacious family bathroom. The first floor twin bedroom has spectacular views across the sea with a Juliet balcony; the perfect spot to enjoy the vista of the ebbing tide and the most glorious westerly sunsets, you can almost hear the rays sizzling into the sea. A second bathroom can also be found at the top of the stairs.
Boasting a large sitting/dining-room that allows the light to flood in, with comfy sofas and a large dining-table, enjoy making memories with friends and family, with fabulous views across The Wash. The kitchen is well-equipped and leads to a spacious conservatory overlooking the mature and private rear garden, where there is plenty of room for ball games and al fresco dining. On a summer's eve sit out under the unpolluted Norfolk skies for some stargazing with loved ones or plan your next year's beachside holiday. From the kitchen you enter the conservatory through sliding patio doors, a glorious place to enjoy your morning coffee and croissants whilst the youngsters burn off a bit of steam with the sounds of lively birdsong as a backdrop.
Hunstanton's centre is a lovely 15 to 20 minute walk along the clifftop passing the Green and esplanade gardens with play area. The popular High Street boasts a plethora of bars and restaurants, the local theatre offers a variety of shows throughout the year and the town itself also has a leisure centre with swimming pool.
Neighbouring Old Hunstanton is a beautiful place to explore and only a gentle walk away, an ideal spot to enjoy a hearty breakfast at the beach cafe, located by the entrance to the soft sandy beaches, also the home of the RNLI Lifeboat Station and hovercraft, great to watch on practice days. Stroll along the sandy beaches or follow the coastal path towards Holme-next-the-Sea with an array of pastel coloured beach huts nestled into the dunes.
For a special occasion why not book a table at Neptune, a super Michelin star restaurant, or visit The White Horse at Brancaster Staithe, with perfectly positioned dining close to the harbour for that ever-changing view. Enjoy the days freshly caught speciality with locally-grown samphire on the large balcony whilst listening to the sounds of the incoming tide.
For a fun day out, why not catch the Coasthopper bus to the popular seaside town of Wells-next-the-Sea; visit the bustling working harbour or enjoy a boat trip whilst taking in the wildlife, a flourishing grey seal colony are often spotted basking on the shoreline at low tide.
An ornithologist's delight is a must visit to the local RSPB sites at Holme-next-the-Sea and Snettisham. On certain days of the year, and just a few miles from Hunstanton, enjoy Snettisham Spectacular which usually takes place during the biggest tides.
