The vibrant village of St Mawes is a short drive away and here you can catch the passenger ferry over the Carrick Roads to Falmouth.
You will find a great selection of places to eat in St Mawes.
St Just in Roseland is a magical place to visit.
Further afield The Lost Gardens of Heligan await.
Or perhaps take the King Harry Ferry over the River Fal to explore west Cornwall.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Laburnum Cottage. It looks much as the pictures, was clean and everything worked well. The kitchen was very well-equipped and a very pleasant space - perfect for having local family over for a meal. The location was perfect, near some lovely quiet beaches and plenty of walking from the door, including to the local pub. The village is delightful. We would highly recommend this cottage. ...

We enjoyed our stay in Laburnum Cottage, spaceus, warm, clean & comfortable with plenty of crockery ect great for the full sized dishwasher. The back yard was very private, enclosed if you are taking children or dogs a real suntrap, ideal for drying your washing on the rotary line. The cottage is in a great location for visiting Cornwall & very peaceful & quiet village, the local Texaco garage was very handy with a well stocked shop. The only thing we found was the driveway a bit snug and having to do a bit of shunting to get in and out....

Spacious house in a good location for walks and no more then an hour to get to everywhere. Well equipped kitchen and useful with the washing machine and tumble dryer and big oven.
