The little church at Church Cove, more recently made famous by the BBC series Poldark, is a few minutes down the road, with National Trust parking nearby.
Sandy at low tide and lifeguarded in high season plus toilets and a little hut serving snacks and drinks.
Build sandcastles or pebble towers, dip your toes in the water or surf the waves, the choice is yours.
Pretty Porthleven harbour is only five miles away. This 'foodie' place has lots of cafes, restaurants and quaint shops.
The Helford River has much to offer the visitor whether you like to explore by foot or on the water.
Kynance Cove is a highlight of The Lizard Peninsula.

Coverack Bay has a lovely sandy beach and a windsurfing school.

Had a great stay at the cow shed. Beyond our expectations. The place is amazing. Beautifully designed and restored. Very spacious, perfect layout for families. Plenty of outdoor space too. And so clean! We loved it so much we stayed an extra night. Paul and Jo the owners were both lovely and accommodating, too. It felt like a lot of thought had go in to the space and the needs of a family staying there. There was nothing we thought ‘ah, it would have been nice if they thought of x’ because the place, the layout, the equipment, utensils, appliances etc. we’re all there. Even outside, huge space for our daughter to run around, high quality table and chairs, there was even a bbq with utensils for us to use, too (which we did). Just great. Already recommending to anyone who’ll listen. Just wish all holiday lets could live up to this. 11 out of 10. ??...

We had a really great break at the Cow Shed. The property is extremely well kept and very well equipped and thought through. It's a very comfortable place to stay. The location was perfect for us, rural but not isolated and close to beaches, pubs and shops. We couldn't fault the accommodation on any level and would highly recommend it. What really made it stand out for us was the owners being very generous with their time and taking us to see their cows. My five-year-old daughter will be telling her friends about stroking a baby cow for years to come! Thank you for a lovely holiday....

We thought it was unusual there was no visitor book to leave a review, but this property was perfect really so they obviously don't need one. Perfect location, very clean, stylish, spacious, ideally located AND 3 toilets!!! Jo was lovely too. We hope to come back when they have some availability....

It was our second visit to this farm, we stayed in the sister cottage, Bullpen, last year. The cottage was beautifully equipped and comfortable, a lovely place to stay. The enclosed garden and patio are a bonus for sunny days. The Lizard is a good base for Cornwall, with plenty to see and do. Highly recommended!...
