The Cowshed is an amazing holiday cottage. From the moment we arrived we felt completely relaxed, and the outside space is just stunning with far reaching views and peaceful surroundings. Lots to see especially enjoyed watching the nesting sparrows and swifts. The courtyard is enclosed for the dogs, and having the meadow to run around in was brilliant. Richard and his mum were really friendly and helpful, with lots of local knowledge and advice for walks and places to visit. The pub up the lane served excellent beer and cider and locals very welcoming and quite an experience! The community shop opposite stocked essentials and had small cafe. Beautiful cake on arrival made by a lady in the village was lovely. We cannot wait to return - especially the dogs!! Thank you for amazing stay!...

We had a lovely stay at the Cow Shed. The house was comfortable, the views were lovely. The position was great, many places to explore nearby and the nearest coast (Bude) was around a 50 minute drive which we didn't mind at all. Yummy chocolate cake on arrival and Richard was very friendly when we saw him but left us to it, which was great. All in all a lovely week away and would certainly recommend. We had a wonderful 6 night stay at The Cow Shed. As previously mentioned, the flexibility the owner allows of arrival days was key on our decision to stay here. That and the gorgeous location of course. The meadow for our little furbaby was an absolute highlight and was another reason why we chose this property. The wildlife you see/hear is wonderful and if you go up to the community shop and spend some time with a coffee…….well that was another highlight. Fabulous community, fabulous place. Go you won’t be disappointed....
