As you walk around the Somerset Levels you may glimpse Glastonbury Tor or hear the mysterious booming of a bittern. It's a magical landscape at any time of year and is very popular with bird watchers and natural history lovers.
If you fancy a challenging walk then head to Cheddar Gorge with it's fabulous paths and exhilarating view. It'll take your breath away!

We had a very enjoyable stay at Minstrels.The cottage is extremely comfortable and very well equipped, a home from home. We enjoyed the delicious treats, which were very welcome.Very comfortable beds, a fantastic shower and a peaceful setting. A good location for visiting Wells, Glastonbury, Montacute House and Brean Down.The Avalon Marshes are close by and local walks for the evenings....

We had a great time at Minstrels. The stay was very comfortable. The cottage had everything we needed. We loved the welcome treats. The hosts were available to answer any questions. My 9yo son loved that the cottage had ‘hidden spots’ to explore. We visited Wells and Cheddar Gorge. We also did day out to Bath and Cwmcarn Forest worth the visit. Place down the road you can refill fresh milk. We thoroughly enjoyed the locally sourced fruit/veg and eggs. A super holiday, recommended to all. ...
