Steps lead from the garden, directly down to the beach. (Please note the steps are steep, so for those less mobile, you can reach the beach walking along the road).

There are wonderful coastal walks nearby.
The traditional seaside town of Looe - the setting of TV's Beyond Paradise.
Mount Edgcumbe country park is well worth a visit.
The historic house at Mount Edgcumbe.
The pretty twinned villages of Kingsand and Cawsand are along the headland.
The picturesque fishing village of Polperro.
Portwrinkle is a short drive away.
A footpath winds its way down the cliff to wonderful Long Sands below Tregantle Fort.

Sundown is a beautiful house in an excellent location by the sea. Our party consisted of 8 adults and 2 dogs and we were very comfortable. The rooms were very clean and the kitchen well equipped for cooking. It was lovely to walk along the beach to the Inn on the Shore which served tasty food. We also walked to The Beach House at Seaton and the Copley Arms at Hessenford - both worth a visit. Further afield there is Looe, Polperro and Fowey plus National Trust properties....

The property is beautiful with stunning views of the sea. We were a party of 10 adults and the house was perfect. Spacious bedrooms and bathrooms and plenty of seats in the lounge for us all to be able to sit together at night. Great place.

Fantastic location with steps from garden to beach well equipped and very clean. Rooms all great size amazing sea view and comfy beds and sofas. Lovely welcome pack (milk, prosecco and mince pies) plus Christmas tree and decorations which was nice touch. Few basics tea, coffee, cleaning products and toiletries which is thoughtful. The instructions and details in binder all very helpful. Regular contact with helpful tips and instructions from housekeeper. Would definitely recommend for large family or groups of friends. ...

We were blown away by Sundown. As a multi generational party of 11 adults (or nearly adults) it is always a worry that there will not be enough space but at Sundown it was perfect. The rooms, living areas and games room allowed us to be together but also have room to breathe. There was enough kit and equipment in the kitchen to allow comfortable preparation of big meals. The house was beautifully prepared by Sarah, clean and welcoming with super communication. Every interaction I have had with the team has been pleasant and helpful. I cannot recommend this holiday enough! ...
